I really tried to give this company my business. It had been recommended to me specifically for moving antiques. I called the number listed, and left several messages. I filled out the "Request a Quote" form on their website. I even called their corporate office and even they who could not (!) get a hold of their local branch. ??♀️. Oh well, I guess it must be nice being so busy.Another equally reputable mover got back to me in less than 24 hours.

We shipped an antique grandfather clock across the country to California. The clock was delivered safe and sound. Thanks to Craters and Freighters of RI for an excellent and professional packing job. Even the delivery man remarked that the crates were not damaged and in great condition for a X-country trip. Great job, hassle free!

Outstanding Service from beginning to end! I can't rave enough about the level of service we received from C&F of Southern New England! We had a high-value item get packaged from C&F and they went out of their way to cut and construct a foam piece to custom size of our device to ensure a safe transportation. Ask for Dennis Burns he'll take care of you!

Excellent service, I shipped a handmade crib across country with them. They took the care to build an extra sturdy crate, each piece was individually padded and the entire crate was lined with foam. They came to pick up the item on time and it was delivered ahead of schedule. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use this company again.

We had used these folks in the past and had been satisfied with the service. Recently however, we used them to crate and ship an art deco chandelier that had been in the family for 35 years from RI to Texas. The shipment was scheduled to leave RI and arrive Texas several days later. we tried to contact them repeatedly for days to change the destination from a residence to a storage unit under 2 miles from the original destination. They were extremely difficult to get hold of and ultimately when we did reach them they demanded an additional "administrative" charge of $211 to accommodate the change although the crate was still hundreds of miles from Texas. There was no justification or substantiation of what the additional charge was for and it was apparent; we were stuck and they were going to take advantage.The Crater's representative, a woman named Nancy was a bit unhinged and entirely uncooperative. She got so frustrated with me that she relented and said she would eat the additional charge. Two days later as the crate arrived in Houston we learned that she had reneged and were now requiring the additional charge again to deliver to the storage unit. Ultimately, rather than being ripped off and pay an additional $211 to have the crate where we wanted (2 miles away from our home) we caved and told them to deliver to the original address. Steer clear!

We have shipped with Craters & Freightors twice and have been pleased both times. This is a family run business and everyone has been caring. They understand that moving furniture is not just furniture, it is part of family.
