Insurance with them is ridiculous!! They dont have an app and was never notified that my spike went from 245$ to 548$ for 2 tickets in 2.5 years. I figured it went up... but DOUBLE!! For a 25$ parking ticket and for "not yielding correctly" the insurance ladies were okay weren't really helpful other than telling me I should cancel... went back to progressive and now paying 238 a month.

Just wanted to thank Pam DiSalvo at the Cumberland RI location for getting me pass the gauntlet in place at the RI DMV. After 5 trips to the DMV by either myself or the person in charge of the estate I was purchasing an old car from(he had to make 2 tips from NH to get the deal done)--I walked out of the AAA in Cumberland knowing I was all set. It was not the fault of anyone working at the Cranston DMV, who went out of their way to explain exactly how to go about purchasing a vehicle from a deceased person. RI has also started using new forms that are different than the official RI forms we were using. FYI-make sure when buying a vehicle from an estate that they hired someone with the power of attorney to handle the paper work at the DMV and give you a valid title or other paperwork the DMV will accept. On my first trip to the DMV in Woonsocket, they told me the signatures on the title I was given by the seller (the deceased man's spouse) did not match--and she had moved to a new address in PA near her family. She had signed the title over to me. Unknown to me, they had given the power of attorney to her son. The DMV in Woonsocket never mentioned the name was totally a different name--or how a valid title needed to be signed. The Cranston DMV did a better job and explained what what going on, and what needed to be done. It took us over a month to get the deal done. FYI, if you buy a vehicle that is less than 40 years old or has any computers in the system--MAKE SURE you drive it a hundred miles or so first because they will hook up your car to check 5 different codes needed (you must have at least 4 out of the five codes working to pass an inspection. driving that hundred miles should reset the codes on a car that has been sitting a long time. You only have FIVE days to get a new inspection sticker (even if the last owner had a sticker already on the vehicle that has not expired)--or the DMV will suspend your new registration. I will have to wait over a month for my new title to arrive according to the DMV. I would advise you go to the Cranston office for your registry needs, and see Pam at The Cumberland AAA office for your insurance questions and information. She tolerates old people like me who show up without their glasses and hearing aids. I would recommend her to everyone I know--unless they are on a quest to break my record of 5 attempts to register to put your vehicle on the roads of RI...

Although I enjoy having AAA as my insurance for my car and apartment, the young woman who was at the customer service desk lacked interpersonal skills. Downright rude
