As a first-time homebuyer, I relied heavily on the expertise of the staff at The Color House in Cranston for purchasing the right exterior primer for my home. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I was recommended BIN primer by one of the employees whom the owner Doug mentioned was a "premium product", they told us this after the fact. Without adequate guidance, I trusted this recommendation, which resulted in an unnecessary expense of $300, only to realize later that a similar 5-gallon bucket of Fresh Start primer could have been purchased for less than $50 per gallon elsewhere.
Adding insult to injury, when I expressed my concerns to two different managers at the store, their response was dismissive, and they even mocked my painter and me. This type of customer service is unacceptable, and it's disheartening to see such behavior in a business that's supposed to be supportive and professional. I expected much more from a store that touts itself as a women-owned business, but it seems they have lost touch with the very ethos of customer care and support.
I would not recommend this location to anyone seeking knowledgeable or respectful assistance. It's crucial for businesses to not only provide quality products but also respect and genuine guidance to their customers, something that was starkly missing in my visit.

I made the best decision going to The Color House for my salon renovation! The quality of product that was recommended is perfect for sustainability in my business and I was obsessed with the color choices. I will definitely be referring all of my clients, family & friends to support this amazing local business.

My 25 year old deck was desperately in need of help! And Chris at the Reservoir Avenue location was really helpful and educated us on this great line of products from Outlast!
The cleaner, Outlast log oil, insect repellent and brushes Chris helped us choose has done an excellent job restoring my deck! I’m very pleased with the Outlast line of products but a picture is worth a thousand words so check out my pictures and see for yourself!!

I used to go to another popular paint store, I have been turned away due to not having the base colors in courts that I need. I started coming to this location and I am completely satisfied. They always have the base color I need and have a great selection. I'm also very satisfied with the pain itself, it goes on smooth doesn't have a strong odor, and is washable. Love it. I redid my kitchen and it came out awesome. The service is always good and very knowledgeable.

When you want the job done right, professional paint stores are the only way to go. The Color House is such a store: superior products, and knowledgeable staff.

When in with an idea and pictures of what I needed for my project. But, decided to have Wes help me pick out all the right paints and brush for the job. He was extremely helpful and guided me in the right direction. There was plenty to choose from and it was very organized too. Thanks again and continued success.

I have been buying Benjamin Moore paint for years, it is the best! The Color House on Reservoir Avenue is well organized and easy in and out. I would like to give a shout-out to sales rep, Wes, who has helped me tremendously. He is extremely knowledgeable of the products and colors and helped me make my choice of living rooms paints. Wes is always pleasant and very professional. Thank you!
