Ordered an ottoman online and when the delivery date came back as mid-October (on April 3), I asked to cancel it. They refused. Said it was a special order. What is it that is already underway? Perhaps they had notified the sheep that they need wool?

Honestly, if I was able to give zero stars, I would. If you’re going to buy anything from this place, make sure you definitely do not get it delivered. They have the absolute incompetent people delivering the items. I had to reschedule my order six different times and finally I canceled it. They have brought it to the wrong house twice, They failed to notify me 30 minutes prior to the delivery, And they never wait the full 15 minutes either. They simply do not care. Even supervisor or managers sit there and say there is nothing they can do to help you after you already paid thousands for the furniture. This is an extreme disappointment, and I am highly unsatisfied with the way they handle things. I truly hope that this business will become shut down in the near future. All they care about is the money they don’t care about you or anything else. The customer does not matter to them. They do the absolute bare minimum to try to even help you. Overall disgusted, disappointed and unsatisfied.

I wouldn't buy a sofa here if they gave it to me for $10. Ugh. I had a horrendous experience with the delivery of an expensive loveseat. It took forever and ever and ever. Customer service was AWOL. After the order was placed, absolutely no one cared except the sales associate herself. The comfort level of the piece of furniture is terrible. Much more firm than their equivalent on the selling floor. Totally misrepresented. So unhappy with the purchase. Buyer be very aware!!!!!

I love Pottery Barn stuff, it's well made, stylish and fairly priced. This time, I went to get some candles as gifts and their variety of scents was really good. The place is very big, so it's hard to find staff if you have any questions, they are just not walking around looking to answer your question. You have to actually go to where they are and ask for assistance. That's fine. The Pottery Barn company was co-founded in 1949 by Paul Secon and his brother Morris in West Chelsea, Manhattan. Paul discovered three barns full of pottery from the factory of Glidden Parker in Alfred, New York, who had stored extras and seconds up the road from the business. That's where the name comes from. The company was acquired by Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in 1986. Its mail-order catalog was first published in 1987. Plenty of parking at this large location in Garden City.

Came in to purchase holiday pillows and was treated like trash by “Edward”. He verbally accosted me and was abusive.I have spent thousands of dollars in this store to be talked nasty about by this associate bc he was stressed and hates working at pottery barn.I came up to the register to ask for help and I heard him loudly talking trash about me to other customers and trying to bully and harass me. How will pottery barn corporation address this abuse of a customer?I left shaken this is condoned by pottery barn?

Horrible experience. We walk in and the workers were having a full our argument with a customer. The lady said to the man “you don’t need to argue with me” We went for a return and it was so bad. They didn’t have enough cash and they said “we know it’s not your fault”….They then said “we can tell by your facial expressions this isn’t going well”. (We made no facial expressions) She did not give her name but we were treated terribly. We were going to buy a good amount of things but we ended up leaving the items because she was being so unprofessional.

I wouldn’t recommend purchasing from here. I purchased a table in April 2021. It’s currently September 2022 and after 6 failed delivery attempts I am still sitting on a table from Pottery Barn with multiple manufacturers defects. After almost a year and a half of waiting on a table with new defects, PB told me I can either accept a small partial refund or return the table. Very disappointing!!The store encouraged me to purchase from them instead of online, promising to help with any customer service issues. The only help I’ve received has been from Pottery Barns online customer service. The company they outsource delivery to is also extremely unreliable.

We walked in and planned on spending good money to redo our master bedroom. We were there for over 20 minutes and on our way out while the employee was on her phone she asked us if we needed assistance. More so because we were in the same vicinity and she didnt really have much choice. Additionally, keep in mind about 10 minutes prior, the employee already made eye contact with us and then proceeded the other way. Not sure if it was our casual attire or the color of our skin but either way the customer service was less than acceptable.

I want to qualify. This is not about the Cranston RI store, per se.It relates exclusively to the post ordering component in the hands of the delivery team and logistics. The store personnel were excellent. Everything else in this review relates to the quality of the craftsmanship and the delivery. An absolutely horrendous experience. I ordered furniture way back on 12/13/2021. I ordered a Pearce Square Arm Sofa for $2899 and the Buchanan Square Armchair for $1199 at that point. The furniture arrived and was really sub par. The armchair looked like someone had slept in it as to the upholstered job. It was wrinkled and didn't sit comfortably. It was super firm. The sofa was distinctly uncomfortable also. I contacted the logistics team in Boston and they had the two pieces of furniture removed after 3 months of waiting for them. I placed a new order a few days later with an excellent sales associate in the Cranston RI store. I re ordered a Big Sur sofa and an Aidan swivel rocker. The sofa finally after a delay of about 3 months arrived with a defect absolutely visible on the arm as well as a blue pinpoint notable discoloration on one of seat cushions. The chair is still pending. Apart from the horrendous quality of the manufacturing, the complete absence of any quality control prior to shipment of the piece, the waiting on hold x 55 minutes at a stretch to speak to someone at the delivery level is a complete abuse of the customer. Potentially I have another room to furnish to the tune of $10,000 with a sofa, some easy chairs, a few lamps and a coffee table and it won't be from Pottery Barn. This company has beautiful inventory and absolutely horrendous service to the customer. It is profane as well as abusive. It is now August and I still don't have a furnished home thanks to Pottery Barn's shabby craftsmanship. Full stop. And in terms of ever ordering furniture again from Pottery Barn? I'd rather put pins in my eyes. Just saying.
