There is an older man that works here. I’m all for respecting your elders but this man is rude as hell. You can tell the only thing this man feels like he has control over in his life is being a cashier. Except he’s not happy about it. He takes out that unhappiness and resentment on the only people in his life he can. Petco customers. The only blessing in interactions with him is that you get to do at the end of the conversation what he wishes so badly he could. Leave. This wasn’t a one time interaction that didn’t go well otherwise I’d say he had a bad day and leave it at that. No this man is just miserable. All those decades on this planet interacting with people and not learning a day of humility will do that to you.

I had my two dogs groomed at the Cranston store #3705 and I am very disappointed by the customer service I received. The grooming itself is not an issue. When I booked the appointments online the price was $51 each. After receiving a text and confirming the appointment the price for one dog increased. I contacted the store and was told the hair length was set as long and the rep corrected it and the price went back to the original.The hair length of both dogs is not long, and both are comparable to each other.When I picked up the dogs, I was handed two slips and noticed each had different pricing, same descriptions just different pricing and when I questioned it the rep printed a new slip. I did not even realize until I got home that what was done was rather than matching the lower price, they raised the lower one to match the higher price. When I questioned why when I booked the grooming I received a price of $51 and now it’s $62 I was told it was the length of the hair which is maybe ½ to ¾ inches in length. When I questioned that determination I was now told it is by the breed which both are mixed.My dogs hair is not long. Both dogs are under 25 lbs. each. Instead of matching the lower price, you raise it to match the higher price!I will think long and hard before EVER doing any business in the future with Petco and their awful customer service!Today (1 Day after original posting) I receive a ridiculous email response from Brittany C. I have no idea if she is from corporate, the store or the sewer treatment plant. I am pasting her email text along with my reply to this review...Dear Kenneth,Thank you for taking the time to provide honest feedback on your recent visit. Absolutely disgusting how the guinea pigs are treated here. There were 3 guinea pigs in less than 2 square feet of space, happening in multiple different cages. The poor pigs couldn't even walk or turn around. On top of that, the pig's nails were so long that they could hardly walk. They had no hay, which is supposed to be 70 % of their diet. They were neglected, mis-fed, and unable to move. The other small animals were being treated similarly, but the pigs were the worst. Shame on you, Petco!! I heard the employees complaining that they had 8 more guinea pigs that they just received. Where are they going to put those??? If you can't take care of the animals, don't have them in the store. Don't promote animal abuse!! It's sad that animal abuse is not taken seriously when it is not dogs. I regret not taking a photo to post here.**Update: I went back to get a photo and they didn't even have accessible water and half of the cage was soaked.**Update #2: Google seems to have deleted my review. What Petco is doing is animal abuse and neglect. Also the guinea pigs here are so mistreated that they have Strep. I ended up adopting one of the guinea pigs in the photo because he was clawing the glass to get to me. Not only did they tell me he was a female, he had a nasty case of strep that caused 2 abcesses. He required surgery to get one lanced, a prescription, and multiple vet visits to get his teeth adjusted. (~$1000)

Ordered online and charged by Petco. Doordarsh canceled delivery and when went to pickup product told not their problem call Doordarsh while still on credit card to Petco. Do as you wish folks

PetCo is my go-to pet care store. There are tons of food brands, treats, toys and necessities available both in store and online. Oftentimes, you will find great deals/sales going on. I bought the VitalCare rewards membership, and it has been a lifesaver in savings and perks. We find it well worth the money, having two kittens and a lizard at home. The stores are always clean and upkept, sales associates are helpful, informative, and take the time to help if needed. New items are always being advertised, while tried-and-true brands stay available. I've had wonderful experiences at both the Warwick and the Cranston (Garden City) locations.

I pointed out a jumbo goldfish to the aquatics team member (Marissa/Melissa?) that had obvious fin rot and is suffering from what clearly appears to be swim bladder disease. To which she rolled her eyes and turned her back to me; with no verbal response she returned to her paperwork that was on top of the very tank this poor creature was suffering inside of.

So they hire these completely incompetent under trained groomers like Maddison whom are incapable of doing their job. I brought my 11 mouth old puppy in for grooming and Maddison tells me she was too nervous for the grooming requested. They charged me $65 for bathing a 7 pound tiny dog. No haircut whatsoever. Then there's the bad attitude!!!! I called and spoke to the grooming manager who was equally useless in explaining why Maddison couldn't deal with grooming a teacup puppy. Do yourself a favor and find a local experienced groomer and stay away from these RUDE inexperienced under trained groomers that Petco hires.

this petco was absolutely gross and rude. in about every single tank there was more than one dead or half dead fish. they were suck to the filter, fish stuck upside down, gulping for air. baby beta fish dead ,as well, in their containers. we complained and we were told they are "just fish". we were told their fish keeper had called out for the day, while half of the fish stuck and dead to filters have obviously been there for days. The staffing was rude and your fish tanks were gross and uncared for. You're a pet store not an all around store. your main focus should be on the well being of the pets you sell. not just some animal.

Best service I’ve gotten in a while cashier was so helpful with offering memberships I didn’t even know about had never been told about before also the trainers were super friendly and helpful with explaining importance for classes for pups

Always seem to be low on stock of fish. Betta fish were not in good shape with 3+ of them dead or dying within their cups. The fish department as a whole was lacking.Do like that they price match their online prices ( sometimes up to 3$ cheaper.)

Outstanding. My giant cat clawed its way out of the carrier just as we were bringing him to the appt. It was hectic, frantic last minute repairs with duck tape and a recapture as we raced against time. I was bringing him in for vaccinations but also for a painful nail clipping process. It turns out they don’t do that at this location. Frustration jammed my brain up but one of the associates talked me off the ledge. Lol. I wish I got her name as she was my unsung heroine.She was maybe 40, brown shoulder length hair, petite and blue eyes. Very kind, pragmatic demeanor and ultimately very helpful with the info that I needed. In general a good experience with all the young associates bustling around. Really nice group of people at this location. They should be commended along with the people who had the good sense to hire and retain the talent.Class act all around.

I went to the Cranston store to look at Cat carriers. The associate was very helpful in helping me choose a carrier. I saw that there is a discount when you order on line which I do not do. The associate informed me that I could get the online discount at the register if I asked. So I got the perfect carrier and saved $30 as well. I was very happy. I visit that store very often. it is well stocked and very clean. The associates are always helpful.

The Guinea pig enclosures are way too small and bedding was completely thoroughly soaked. Guinea pig enclosures should be much bigger.The interior of the store itself is pretty, cool fish area but overall the conditions of the animals created more than an uncomfortable experience.
