I had taken all 3 of my dogs to Petco in Cranston for grooming for years with no problem at all. The last time we took them there, the cashier who was distracted and trying to sell me a monthly service forgot to charge me for one dog. The manager Brittany, who is unbelievably rude and in no way should be dealing with anyone in the public realm, called me and told me that I was only charged for one dog and I needed to come back and pay. She insists I was in the parking lot, which is quite comical since I was already close to home in Chepachet. I had to go to work in Boston and explained this to her. I offered to give a credit card over the phone, to mail a check to the store, or to have her come and pick the check up from my mailbox since it is a 30 minute ride back to Cranston and another 30 minute back to Chepachet. None of these options were good enough. She said it was my responsibility as a consumer to see that I wasn't charged and to correct the cashier. The cashier was not held responsible for her mistake. Brittany insisted that I knew I was only paying for one dog. I usually don't even pay attention to what I am being charged and the cashier did not tell me a final number because she was too busy trying to sell me a monthly service. On top of this, when I brought my receipts showing I paid to grooming they didn't say anything about missing payment for one dog. They did however take a 40 dollar tip for two dogs. So, both the cashier and the grooming department failed, but Brittany insists that is is all my fault. I offered multiple different options, but none were acceptable to her. Again I had been going there for years grooming and have never had any issue at all. Brittany seems to be the problem and accused me of stealing despite her employees not doing their jobs in two departments. We did go back and pay the bill when we were in Cranston again and they told me they removed the block on the account so that I was able to book appointments. I was able to make appointments online with Petco in Smithfield. Unfortunately today my appointments were cancelled and when I spoke to the lovely gentleman in grooming in Smithfield he informed me that it was due to the Cranston Petco. I will be filing a report with both the BBB and the Attorney General given the poor way I was treated and that despite paying my bill and being told that the block was removed on the account, Brittany did not do her job and remove it.
So much for the customer always being right. Brittany is the only one who believes she is right - from telling me I was still in the parking lot (I would love to know how she can insist she knows this as if she was following me and I was there she should have knocked on my window). The cashier who failed to ring the services in correctly to the grooming department taking the receipt and not saying anything were not held responsible for their actions and Brittany will not be responsible for the way she treated a customer and to remove the block on the account so we could take our services elsewhere. Failure of employees to do their jobs comes from poor management. Maybe if the cashier focused on what she was doing instead of pressuring consumers into buying a monthly service this mistake wouldn't have happened. Corporate greed and poor management at its best.

Booked my dog a grooming appointment at 9:00 am this morning. Got there 15 minutes late and they said they couldn’t take him because they didn’t have time. It’s a 2-3 hour session and you’re telling me 15 minutes throws off your day that much? Pretty unbelievable especially for a return customer.

If I could do a zero star, I would
Went in for a return less than 30 days, The girl at the cash register could not be bothered to check my account and will not listen to me trying to explain that I had two separate accounts.
She was hell bent on saying NO!
When I asked to speak to her manager, she looks at her coworker and says,” I can’t today! I can’t! “in front of me as if I did something.
She proceeds to tell me that the manager is on break and will not be back for an hour.
When I tell her that I will wait for the manager or come back, she responds by saying, take your stuff very rudely.
After checking my bank account to show that the purchase was made within 15 days, I begin speaking with her coworker Marissa who seemed a little bit more mature
The girl goes on by interrupting Marissa and I telling her that the return cannot happen
After a few clicks on the computer, Marissa realize the issue and I was given a full refund something that the other girl could have done if she was smart enough to listen instead of being confrontational
So here I am writing this 1 star review and speaking with the corporate office about her poor attitude.
Side note: Cranston store is filthy ! The dog hairs in the entryway is absolutely gross- try running a vacuum now and then.
Will never step foot there again. You have poor untrained kids with Big Big attitude and low comprehension skills.

The only pet store we would go to. We got some dog training from a guy named Nick. He did a great job and came and helped me when I had questions about my puppy. I specifically book the class with him. They do require you to have your dog's paperwork. Especially if you're taking it in for service or training. So keep that in mind and make sure to sign up for the rewards app. You end up getting $5 back every amount that you spend. Between the rewards and the friendly service there we go there as much as possible. There is also a nice man in the front register. I will have to update with his name. He is always very friendly and complimentary.

I’ve given many chances to petco grooming, I left my regular groomer to save a buck a couple of years ago, since then it’s been inconsistent at best but today was the WORST dog grooming I’ve had yet at this location, my poor dog left with a bald spot on her head AND tale, 4 HOURS LATER.

Review:
I recently took my dog to Petco for a grooming appointment, and unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. Despite booking a 4-hour session, my dog came out with bald spots on his head and tail, indicating that the groomer was clearly inexperienced.
My experience with Petco’s grooming services has been mixed in the past, but this was by far the worst. What’s even more frustrating is Petco’s lack of accountability for their work. Instead of standing by their services, they brush off negative reviews by claiming they’ll provide feedback to the store to improve, which feels like a cop-out.
As a pet owner, I expect grooming services to prioritize the well-being of my pet and stand by the quality of their work. Unfortunately, Petco failed to meet these expectations. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to ensure better experiences for their customers and beloved pets.

Waited in n the fish department for ten minutes. Then went to the counter and asked to have someone come over to the fish department. After another ten minutes no one came. Two other customers were waiting there as well for help. Horrible customer service. Left without ever being waited on.

Wanted to give a shoutout to the grooming team at chapel view. I have an extremely anxious beagle/gsp mix that had a hard start to life as a feral oil field puppy. She came in for her first groom tonight and the staff was nothing short of amazing. They took their time with her and made it such a positive experience.
