Since the Garden City opening, my wife and I have purchased several pair of shoes here. Each time the service and attention to our particular needs has been excellent. Just recently, faced with a quickly approaching vacation, the store arranged and delivered a replacement pair before our departure date. The Garden City store is our go to location.

I came in last week almost on a whim, looking for new shoes. Victor A greeted me when I came into the store and was very proactive in helping me find new shoes that would fit best with my job, which includes standing up for most the day. He was very informative about the benefits of different shoes and inserts, as well as advice with posture. 5/5 I would come by again and recommend to my friends!

Victor was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I am not a usually New Balance customer, but decided to try and see what they had available. It was a great experience. The other workers were kind and very welcoming, will definitely be going back for my next pair!

Nick and Greg need to learn to have better customer service skills. Wow. The other associates were respectful and understanding. Poorly executed shipping and 1 pair didn’t even ship. No notification when 1 pair arrived. Will not return to this location.

11/6 I stopped by the around 2pm. I was greeted by Victor and two other gentlemen. I was asked if I needed help right off the bat. I stated I am in market for New Balance 990's V4, V5, and or V6. I told Victor I needed 12 4E and he found me V6 Blue and Grey. I settled for grey since I still have V5 blues in decent shape. I also got a scan of my feet to find out my left foot 10 1/2 and my right foot is 11 1/2. I also found out 2E or 4E would work with my feet. My right foot has always been issue since birth it was stuck in my mom's rib cage and I needed special shoe growing up. As a kid I loved Nike and Jordan's cause that what kids at school where about. As I got older I realized that those brands don't take your width into consideration but New Balance does. The 990 seems to only have blue, grey and black. They seem to make little changes each year. I am intrigued to see how much the fuel cell and encap make a difference from previous 990s. I seem to mess up the back of my right shoe on 990 v4 and v5 for some reason. I was in market for boots but noticed that wasn't a option. LL Beam was a let down cause of the medium width. In Google search I found red wing and recommended them for boots. Thanks for great customer service.

Bought a couple of pairs of shoes today, Nelkin helped me out. He was very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the products. He gave me his opinion on different shoes and color schemes and was overall just very helpful and kind!

Went in today for a return. The gentleman working clearly saw me come in and I waited patiently for someone to free up, because I understand people have to get sales. So I waited and sat down. Me and the guy working made contact with me and clearly seen I was waiting. But he decided to help the people that walked in 5 minutes later than me. Not sure what his thought process was. Maybe he was judging on the appearance of clothing or skin color. He clearly didn't have good customer service in mind. In retail with many people shopping online, it is very important to go the extra step and acknowledge everyone that comes through the door to make a personal connection so it gives you a much better chance to get the sale. Overall the store was clean and had a good selection of sneakers that are well displayed.
