It's a state facility but I will say it's come a long way. Here with a successful road test driver to get his license. It's clean but worn in the seating area but it's clean. Spotless actually. People are professional. The key to any successful trip to the DMV? Read the checklists and be prepared with all the required paperwork. Will you wait? Absolutely. But save your sanity and your time by getting everything ready days in advance because there might be a few things that you need to prep (do you have to find your original birth certificate? Notary perhaps?) Positive experience here if you come with the expectation that it will take a couple hours and you have your stuff.

Helpful kind staff from the truly handsome gentleman directing folks where to go to the lovely ladies at the windows who were professional, helpful and quick...no wasted time there. They know their jobs!!!

Hold these people in charge accountable at all costs, we are tired of paying to keep registering each car, paying for stickers, I paid for a registration paper x2 never received it and was told to repay for another piece of printer paper, I now have an inspection due …. More and more money to waste but they get away with not inspecting our bridges and fixing them!

I paid for a duplicate license 6 months ago. Never recieved it. Called the License phone number 12 times before making an appointment to talk to someone at the DMV. When I got here I was told it they were trying to deliver it multiple times but couldn't find me (which is untrue because they've delivered my license to me before). I was given a new Temporary and told to COME BACK to the DMV to retrieve it. Now I'm heading out of town for the holidays and I'm here to retrieve my new license but have to take a WHOLE NEW PICTURE for another license!!! Why not just say you lost my license so we can expedite the process and not make me take multiple trips just to re-do everything?? I've had a Temp license for 6 months now. Ridiculous.

I had a wonderful experience with the titles office on with the clerk on window 90 on 11/30/2023.The clerk was patient, sweet and pleasant. And the process was smooth.

Smooth sailing! Cranston RI DMV opens it's doors @08:30. They do not let anyone in early. There were 20+ people in line when I arrived at 08:15. It was a little cold waiting outside in line. Once in, the line moved quickly. I used the checklist each time I came here. Having all the paperwork in order makes it a breeze. In and out by 08:40! Amazing.

Came here in the morning for my daughters permit. I have never been her b4 and we moved from Out of state so this permit is alot diff than MA. I came in amd had no idea I needed an apt the security gard was so nice and said it's OK she can make one for me I gave her my name and she told me the time saying I should get a confirmation of my apt time. I got the confrimation and deleted it because the time matched and I was allset. Came to be checked in the gentleman said did I have a code I said no that the lady helped me this morning make it he said I should have got a text I stated I deleted it it said well oh well. That set me off. I said what fo u mean I didn't k ow I had to show u the text can u look me up by name ! He said he couldn't find my apt I said well thats not eight he said " that lady this morning dis u a favor since there's a big sign that says apt needed" I stated I didn't know when I came this morning ing but I made an apt and I'm standing here with an apt don't make me look stupid like I don't have one " he's like oh well nothing I can do I asked for a supervisor one. Ame and she was kind . She called out someone that isn't me so the whole time he had my name wrong. She couldn't find me either but gave me a slip. Horrible customer service by that man and should tell people clearer instructions! And I still can't find the dang sign outside

I’m having difficulty reaching anyone over the phone. I just completed my vehicle registration, but upon completion noticed I input the mailing address incorrect. Is there any way I’m able to correct this so my stickers don’t go to the wrong place??

What a complete joke, my mom got an inspection in August 2023, then she gets a suspension letter in the 31st of October the same year. Then when we try to call, no one picks up, what a joke, what kind of disorganized company are you guys running? And you don't even pick up the phone... seriously you're making RI look bad.

Changed my address and checked off “do not update my voter registration address” and surprise surprise, they did, compromising both my privacy and my safety. They took zero accountability and I was surprised a mistake was made given how micromanaged their curated toxic work environment is… now I have to take time out of my day to visit my local canvassing authoring to revoke and cancel my voter registration. Thanks so much, DMV!

the phone resources for this dmv are deplorable, every help option available on the line reverts to the website which is equally not as helpful when trying to simply ask for an appointment, and whenever i try to get available hours and details the line goes silent and hangs up. the failures of our government system show clear signs they need to be torn down and rebuilt, i should not have to wait to receive news on critical parts of my life and equally should not have to wait agredious amounts of time to receive items related to such. this dmv and its formidable unwillingness to properly alocate my materials is preventing me from getting my new ID , which the original was stolen, and my new bank card (old one also stolen) which stops me from eating and may jeopardize my housing. this system is killing us and sooner or later enough will be enough.

The new reservations system is horrible. You need a reservation to do ANY transaction now. But there is literally none for the foreseeable future? I walked in and there was no one in line, 4 people behind the windows yet refused to help me without reservation. Am I missing something here? Only being able to see ahead in the schedule 1-2 weeks and there being zero openings is the unacceptable part.
