This place is amazing they have so much knowledge. I called today which I believe is December 11 spoke with a woman on the phone very very polite and helpful with my problem.. So my problem is, I had my transmission rebuilt at another shop because my truck broke down and I could not have it towed to Rhode Island. The shop that rebuilt the transmission is having a problem downloading their program. She walked me through a procedure for them to try like I said they did not rebuild my transmission, but they were there to answer my question. Totally appreciate it. I would highly recommend them.

BE AWARE !Called looking to book an appointment, and to get testing done, decided not to go to them because they were extremely rude. The girl who sounded like a teenager on the phone didn’t know what she was doing and couldn’t even give me a price quote and then got very rude with me, first time decided to go to a different mechanic based on professionalism! Very incompetent young girl picking up the phone today . Be very aware.

I rarely write reviews for any product or service, but our experience was worthy of a rave review! We recently needed our transmission replaced in our 2017 Chevrolet Suburban Premier. The Transmission Shop was recommended by our local mechanic. Our experience was beyond what we could have expected!! Our transmission was checked and tested and found to need replacement. Sam (office administrator) was professional, friendly and communicated regularly on the status of all stages of the process. We have an extended warranty, and she acted as the go-between, providing information to both parties (us and the warranty company), relieving us of that typically lengthy and frustrating process. We had our vehicle back, transmission replaced, within 3 weeks. The mechanics were friendly and went over and beyond, checking out and helping to accurately diagnose a continued problem with shaking at highway speeds post-replacement ("scalloped tire"), when I brought the vehicle back 2 weeks later for their routine follow-up on the transmission. They are exceptional in all areas of their work and I very highly recommend them for all transmission needs!

This is the best transmission shop in the area. They fixed my Jeep Liberty when a transmission shop in Groton, CT couldn't and two dealerships in Connecticut Valenti and Secor couldn't even fix it but this place could I highly suggest bringing your vehicle to the transmission shop. And customer service is wonderful!!!

Awesome place with great people. I took my 2015 Suburban to them as I had no history on the transmission and knowing that the 6l80 was known for some failures. I had them do a full rebuild but also upgrading to the Sonnax level 2 package. The difference is amazing. Shifts smoother than it ever did. Great work from a local, honest family business.
Follow up: 4 months later I had a failure. Went back, spoke to Scott, he apologized and explained he had a bad run on gaskets. All fixed in 2 days. Very honest, family run shop.

Amazing service! They are customer centered and provided a great experience in offering the best price in town, and making it a very quick turn around. All staff from Sam the admin to the mechanic (forgot your name, sorry) were so friendly and helped me every step of the way answering all my questions. I’ll be passing your name around town, that’s for sure!

The transmission in my 2017 Silverado had been having issues for a long time. The few fixes I did on my own were simple bandages. Ultimately the transmission still needed to be replaced so I sent it to The Transmission Shop, they called and told me basically what I already knew and that was I needed a full rebuild. They told me the price and I felt it was fair, they told me they were a few weeks out and I kinda expected that as well. Unfortunately I’m not the only one who had transmission issues so expected them to have people ahead of me. I got the truck back sooner than I expected to. IT HAS NEVER SHIFTED THIS SMOOTH AND I MEAN NEVER It didn’t even shift like this the day I drove it off the lot. I’m am MORE than satisfied with the outcome. If I ever need transmission work again I will go back here for sure.
