i would normally give them a 5 because they have great vegetables; however this morning i made the mistake of getting there at 955am and drove in the entrance and parked. the young girl working there who i believe is the owners daughter ran out to my car and started to yell at me saying, "why did u go thru the entrance - we open at 10". i apologized ( maybe it was a senior moment and i should have looked at my watch")and told her i didnt know they opn at 10- she then responded loudly and disrespectly once agian saying" now look what u did, theres a car behind u!"- at this time it was now 10 and i left- if i decide to go there again and that rude girl is there i will leave without buying anything and drive to the farmstand near carpenters where everyone is courteious!!!- and vegetables just as good if not better!

We stopped here after exploring down by Quononchataug (Sp?) otherwise known as Quonnie. My sister wanted to pick up tomatoes and we pulled in here after driving by the place for years. While my sister was picking out produce, I noticed the boquets for sale and said I'd like to get just some of the flowers that look like red dots on a stem. A lady working there said "Two for a dollar and you can use those scissors to get your own!" and pointed to the rows of flowers. For $4, I walked up a row of beautiful flowers and snipped 8. As I was doing it, butterflies were flying up off the rows of flowers. I saw more butterflies here than when I went to a special butterfly exhibit a few years ago. It felt magical. When I brought out my flowers I asked the girl at the farm stand about the identity of my selected flowers and she used a very technical kind of name for each one. She was definitely a brainiac in the are of flowers, and I wondered if she's been a horticulture major or she is just so smart from being the daughter of a farmer and having been brought up around them. She had a wonderful smile and very sunny disposition. I'm going back this week to get more tomatoes and flowers and hope to see the same farm lady's smile again. She kind of looks like if you crossed a flower with a human what you'd end up with. This time, I'm stopping at the dollar store to pick up a plain vase first. By the time I got home, my flowers were all badly wilted. I was shocked at how they bounced back to life perfectly when I put them in water, though...I really thought they were goners. I'm going to a housewarming party in a few days and was told to bring nothing but myself, so at least I'm sure these great flowers will be welcomed and it will give me an excuse to walk through all the butterflies again.

So I've been coming to Jacksons farm stand since I was 13 or younger, I'm now 20. They are incredible! Such an awesome family (who I Happen to have the same last name as, but no relation!) they serve great quality products with a smile. Super genuine and the prices are definitely reasonable for the quality you're getting. Love this place! It's a daily stop for me!

What a great little farm stand. It's only open from around July 4th to Labor Day, but if you happen to be in the area, definitely make a stop for some beautiful produce and cut flowers. 5 stars for the funny girl whose family runs this farmstand that introduced me to the wonders of Cherokee heirloom tomatoes. She was right, you can eat them like an apple. Yum
