Deeply Troubling Experience with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty
We had a very disappointing experience working with realtor Oliver Dow from Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. His lack of professionalism and disregard for important details cost us $7,000 of our deposit. Oliver failed to extend the inspection and mortgage contingencies as promised, placing us in a vulnerable position when we tried to exit the deal. His advice repeatedly misled us, and when deadlines had passed, he told us to simply “talk to a lawyer” instead of offering meaningful support.
Even after escalating the issue to broker Ben Scungio, the company's response fell far short of our expectations, resulting in significant financial and emotional stress. Unfortunately, this experience has raised concerns about the overall standards of the company, and we hope that these issues are addressed at all their locations to prevent future clients from experiencing similar hardships.
If you're considering using Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, I would strongly recommend reconsidering. Our experience was marked by broken promises, financial loss, and failure to meet the fiduciary duty to protect their clients’ interests.

Josh from Mott & Chace was a terrific representative for our house, keeping us well-informed and comfortable that there was a plan all throughout the process. He was always available to answer questions, and we felt he was genuinely invested in helping us. He was candid and forthcoming with information, and we never felt pushed or bullied to make any decisions or choices that made us uncomfortable. We felt like we were in good hands from start to finish, and are very satisfied with the result.

Donna is a consummate professional. She manages people with tact and a calm nature, while advocating for her customer. She is very knowledgeable about the housing and banking markets and has been a great resource for us over the years.

Karen Wilder is the best realtor, and best person, I've ever met. She is thoughtful and caring and listens to exactly what you want for your selling/buying needs, and then goes above and beyond to help you achieve your dreams. For selling our house, the one she helped us buy 4.5 years ago, she helped us do a quick turnaround of photos so we were ready to sell at a moment's notice when we found the perfect property we wanted to buy. We had beautiful pictures taken and from the point of getting our buying house offer accepted, we had our house on the market, three days of open houses and walk-throughs, and had four offers on our house all within a week! As for the buying process, we spent months viewing multiple houses, all that didn't quite meet our requirements, until we found THE ONE. Karen put together an amazing offer which, being contingent upon the sale of our not-for-sale-yet home, was a long shot, we were accepted and are now living in the home of our dreams that met 99% of our dream home requirements! Her mantra of "This or something better!" was always ringing through my head when we would see a house, and boy was she right. Through our closing and after, she's continued to help us and provide insight whenever we needed her. I highly recommend Karen Wilder and Mott & Chace to any of my friends and family that have buying or selling needs. There is no one better.

I highly recommend Sara Chaffee for those who are in the market for a real estate agent. While looking for homes, she provided options that were appropriate for my wishes and was careful to never waste my time. While viewing homes, her expertise came through helping me notice things in homes that I would not have otherwise considered. When it came time to make an offer, she used techniques that positioned my offer incredibly well and helped me find success despite not even being the top dollar amount. In the month leading up to closing, she was on top of things and made the entire process worry-free. She made sure I never missed anything important and provided great guidance at every step of the process. I appreciate her vast expertise and recommend her without reservation to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

Bridgette made selling a house easy. She handled everything start to finish and walked us through the entire process. She also found us a temporary rental while our next house is being renovated. I worked with Chanel Chung (a 5 star recommendation) who is/was a mentee of Amy Doorly-Lucas.
