They make you feel so rotten!! If the people that donated things here know how they are going allocated out They would never donate a thing.. It's like the workers make it seem like they want to keep everything for themselves. I needed glasses, drinking glasses, the woman started taking me in the back and got repriman did. No, no, no, these glasses are not to be touched.. Threw me out of the room. Before that happened I was treated like a second class citizen.. This was my second time going to this establishment. I never went back because I felt so poorly treated the last time. That they never went back for 3 months. Helping hands in riverside would never ever treat you like that. I was down on my lock before I went walked out of there bawling my eyes out. Tell me, is this a place that you want To be when you're in needABSOLUTELY NOT!!! place needs an overhaul on whoever is in control of this place. You wanna feel bad about yourself by all.means go to tappin

I worked as a volunteer at Tapin and I can tell you that it was a very special place for our clients who received goods and also received care and consideration. I was in charge of disseminating furniture items which were donated to clients who were waiting for them. Needs were kept listed on the computer so we had an updated view of who needed what and the date when the request came in. All in all Tapin was a great place to work and see acts of kindness being done every day.I would still be there if I hadn’t moved away from Rhode Island.

This is a great place if you are in need of some food, household things, kids clothes( under age 10). If you find yourself short on money and are in the East Bay area I would highly recommend signing up.
