Went there for a family time and immediately felt in love with the place, so many cute pottery options that I couldn't decide what to pick until a saw the perfect piece for my heart. I picked this piece with intention and painted with a vision and my heart. I lovee art since I was little and still, I was fully invested on my piece and the owner was very sweet and patience, even gave me some extra time to finish my piece. Thank you!
I told my family that I wanted to come back for my birthday and paint more and bring my friends for a birthday celebration!
Everything went well until I got my finished piece and noticed some manufacturer defects, the piece had some chipping so I brought it back to her attention and she immediately proceed to explain me why did that happened and offered to fix it. I was so relieved and happy that there was a solution. But... the outcome wasn't what I expected, I got the called and went back to pick it up but when I opened up I instantly knew it wasn't the same piece... I spend about 2 hours on this piece, I remember every corner, crevices and details. My heart just sank and wished I kept the imperfect art instead of trying to fixed.
This was a life lesson to me and really thought about it for 2 weeks before posting this but I couldn't kept quiet about this mattter.
Besides that, the place is neat and has lots of options to choose. The owner was very attentive and welcoming to us.

The owner is extremely rude. Upon reading other reviews I would unfortunately agree with them. I walked in and felt like I was an inconvenience. I had baby footprint and handprint done. I thought this was a custom experience only to find out after my piece was done that it was not a custom experience. I was never told to pick a design from the wall in the studio. It seemed like a simple miscommunication that could have been fixed. Instead the owner told me she would not work with me when I asked if she could correct the piece. She insisted I was wrong. She did offer a refund, in exchange for the pottery piece back, which she knew I would not take because I had already told her the value the babies footprint/handprint meant to me. She made me feel like I was supposed to know about pottery and that I was supposed to know that what I asked her to do was “not possible”. It’s unfortunate because I would have utilized this place for many gifts. I referred 2 friends to her studio prior to meeting her in person, which I followed up with and made them aware of my experience. Ironically the bag the piece came in had “do good things” written on it.

I have been painting at Art by You for many years. I have many beautiful platters, pitchers, and gifts I have gifted over the years. The owner is always so helpful and flexible with families with small children! I was even further impressed this past February School Vacation - prompting this review - when upon opening, her shop was filled immediately. She has around 28 seats and every table, except 2, was filled with people waiting patiently for her to get them supplies. However, the 2 empty tables were being "taken" by a rather large group that were asking questions about the paint policy. (Every person must paint.) And were loudly deciding if they wanted to stay. While this was happening, lines of smaller groups were coming in. The owner had to politely turn away three small families while this group was walking around actively whisper-insulting the owner. After about 15 minutes, a 4th family walked in. The owner informed them she was full and the new customers pointed to the two empty tables. The mother asked if she could sit there and the owner informed them that the large group was sitting there. The mother said she would wait, and one of the women in the large group heard and scoffed at the owner. The owner then had to ask the large group if they were painting. That's when the family decided to leave. It was clear the owner was frustrated and I believe she handled it very well considering the way she was being treated. The other two tables were filled immediately and many customers apologized to the owner on behalf of the large group after their departure. She has my business for as long as she is open! As a teacher, people in the industry are often mistreated. It's a shame that this mistreatment is shifted to business owners during school vacations. Please be mindful that employees are people who deserve our respect. Visit Art by You for a calming and fun crafting experience.

Was so excited to bring my kids and my friend and her children here. The women who runs this pottery studio is the most unprofessional rude human being I have ever met in my life. From the minute we walked through the front door she was not welcoming one bit! She actually seemed annoyed that people were walking in! We didn’t care about the policy about everyone needs to paint, the way you speak to people is extremely rude! As my children watched this all happen she had zero cares or empathy toward anyone! Her first words to us as we walked through the door was telling us our carriage for my friends one year old was not allowed in the building, we said oh ok we didn’t know and her response was “yeah look around do I have room for that?” While looking for pieces to paint she asked us multiple times if we were actually staying even though we said yes multiple times she kept telling us that other people were wanting our table, mind you they walked in after us. With her condescending tone we felt very unwelcome. I’m sorry you’re running a business that you can’t handle running alone. Maybe hire some help for school vacations or stop taking walk ins. I will never step foot in this establishment again or recommend this business to anyone! I can’t fathom the fact that she runs a summer camp, if she speaks to children this way it would ruin their mental health! If you’re looking for a fun pottery experience Pea poddery is an amazing fun place for children!

I wish I could give this place zero stars couldn’t believe what I saw! As I am walking to the door, the owner is outside, swearing at a truck driver, who is just doing his job. She was being very rude and disrespectful to this man for no reason not to mention there was about 20 kids inside! And this is who you leave your children with? it’s no wonder she has all these bad reviews! 1 or 2 could be a coincidence but that many is definitely a pattern that speaks for itself take your business and your children elsewhere.

Cute studio with a wide range of pottery options to choose from. They did play Christian pop music the whole time, which was a little surprising. Note for those with allergies or sensitivities to strong smells that there was some kind of incense or air freshener used that was very strong and could trigger some respiratory problems.

This place is just weird, no pun intended. They actually say that you're not allowed to sneeze or cough inside of the studio. The owner is strangely preachy about alcohol drinking, I even saw once that she posted a photo of some Girl Scouts that were selling cookies outside of a liquor store. She tried shaming their parents, and actually posted a photo of the children! And she is very strict about a parent supervising little children, everyone needs to pay and participate "just like a movie theater", she says. It makes no sense, it's just a money grab, obviously a parent should be permitted inside to supervise little ones for what should be a fun activity. Just don't go there expecting to paint a wine glass lol.

Had a fantastic time today at Art By You! Can't wait to pick up my ceramic octopus ?! The owner is super nice and it was a great relaxing afternoon of painting. 40 minutes from my house but still worth the drive!!Also there's a huge selection and plenty of reasonably priced pieces to choose from.

I’ve come twice now to Weirdgirl Creations and I love coming here! Both times were a good experience and I suggest painting pottery here to anyone, even if you’ve never painted pottery before! It’s a wonderful and peaceful environment and it’s a fun thing to do. If you have any questions while you are there, the owners are very kind and helpful. (:
