I’ve been here tons of times with no issues but tonight I bought 6 beers and a chocolate bar. I paid and left but wasn’t fully paying attention as I was with family and was chatting. When I walked out, I realized I was charged $42.22 I thought “wow, maybe a mistake or maybe the beers I picked were way more expensive than I thought.” So I went back in to ask the girl who served me how much the beers were because it seemed high. I never acted angry just curious but as soon as I was questioning the bill, the young girl working the cash become very defensive and almost combative. She claimed she didn’t know the price of the beer and then made up on the spot that they were expensive like $4 a beer which I replied that it would have been $24 plus tax etc. then she said she didn’t have a record the transaction and that she didn’t remember cause she serves so many customers. Which I replied “I literally walked out like 20 seconds ago and came back in.” She then rescans everything super fast in a visibly irritated way and it comes up to $36 something and then asks me what I wanted. I said the difference? It was clearly the wrong price then. She claims to not know have a record of the transactions and is seemingly angry with me which made me feel suspicious about it. I found the transaction on my phone bank app and tell her the exact amount. She was very unprofessional and acting odd. She scans everything really quickly again so it’s hard to even realize what she is imputing and just hands me like $4 and some change (which is the third different price for the same stuff in a 5 minute span). Without saying anything else and is ignoring me, she’s making it seem like I’m some j*** for asking the price of the goods in the store lol. I still am not sure what exactly the cost was and like I said I’ve been there tons of times without issues before but if I ever get the young girl with the nose ring I’m going to pay close attention to what is being ringed up because it seemed fishy. Maybe it was an honest mistake and was poorly dealt with? all she had to do was tell me the prices (which is just scanning the items) and if it was wrong, fix it and if it was right, I would be satisfied with that and feel d*** and go on my way.One of the weirdest experiences I’ve had at a corner store.

This is my go to place for anything corner store wise. I actually boycot other corner stores just to go to this one not just because it is in my neighborhood. The staff is always extremely friendly, they great me recognizing me and always spark up a nice conversation.
The small town feel is very live here

The employees are smiling and helpful, we like to go there to get good beer and candy for the children! It's worth stopping to take a look, the owners have renovated it, it's beautiful!
