Very bad experience with the condescending manager, I just needed information that had no monetary impact but he was more concerned with ridiculing me than helping. Maybe that wasn't his intention but that's how I felt.
I left without having the answer to my question.

I’ve been buying from this place for 11 years, I go there almost every day. There is this cashier “ a bit old” short black hair with glasses, Asian I think, she always has an attitude.
Today she was training a young employee (poor girl) and the trainer who has an attitude and never smiled for 11 years and today she literally yelled at me because I scanned my optimum card while the trainee was scanning my items. I always do this when I do self checkout, or with the other employees.
Conclusion:
I did not buy my stuff.
Not going to Provigo anymore.
IGA is the place to go moving forward

I usually go grocery shopping at this place that I like. Yesterday I had a very bad experience. The cashier scanned a few products that I put on the belt and stopped abruptly to go forward to look at my basket. To make sure it's empty, I guess, but that's not the problem. When he returned to the register, he double-checked all the items he had already scanned and which I began to put in my bag. My empty bags had gone through the conveyor, it was he who moved them to the other side. I felt humiliated, like I was being treated like a thief. This is the first time this has happened to me in a grocery store in Canada. I don't know if it happened because I'm black wearing a cap with headphones. But if this happens again, I will no longer come to Provigo.

It has a fun pizza bar, a Starbucks, a lot of fun food and a good positive vibe. Good beer selection. The only thing I’d improve is the organic produce.
