It is a dishonest company that sells defective products and refuses to exchange them, even when it is obvious that they are broken.I recently purchased an oil diffuser from this shop as a gift. To my surprise, as soon as I got home, I noticed that the box was damaged. Suspicious, I decided to try it before giving it as a gift, with a little water and a drop of essential oil, but unfortunately the diffuser didn't work at all. I told myself that these are things that happen, nothing more. The next day I went to the store to return it, but it was a terrible experience.The saleswoman immediately changed her attitude when I explained to her that I wanted to return the item. In an unpleasant tone, she asked me why I wanted to return it and if I had used it. In my haste, as I needed to give the present the same day, I only mentioned that the model ended up not fitting my decor (which wasn't totally wrong) and that I didn't have it used. To my surprise, she opened the box, smelled the device and falsely accused me that it smelled STRONGLY of oil. Confused, I smelled the device myself and it only smelled very slightly of mint, following my test the day before. Frustrated by his frankly unnecessary accusatory tone, I finally calmly explained to him that the product was defective, that I was in a hurry and that I had not used it, but only tested it. And guess what? She called me a liar! Yes, yes, a liar! My friend who accompanied me and I were simply speechless.She then tried the diffuser without saying a word, and realized that it was indeed not working. Without wasting a moment, she accused me of having broken it myself! I tried to explain to him that I was used to this type of device, that the product was intact and that it was impossible for me to break it in a single day anyway. She cut me off to tell me that she couldn't believe me anymore, because I had supposedly lied to her. She haughtily informed me that she absolutely had to speak to the manager about my "case", but that she would not be available for another week, thus asking me to adapt to her schedule. I tried to make it clear to him, still calmly despite the craziness of the situation, that their company had sold me a defective product, and that "my lie", the reason I wanted to return it, didn't matter. But she abruptly cut me off a second time and told me she couldn't "believe a word I said". It's just amazing to talk to customers like that.I kept my cool and left the store with the product. This interaction with the staff was just plain rude. I have the feeling that even if I had tried to ask for a refund or an exchange by explaining from the start the malfunction of the product, they would have done everything to find an excuse to refuse to help me. Suffice to say that I will never set foot there again, that's for sure. Insulting customers by calling them liars and accusing them of breaking an undamaged item without any proof, when it was bought the day before, is simply a-ber-rrant. I'm sure asking the customer to come back in so called "1 week" for the manager is a tactic to discourage them from asking for a refund.I sincerely hope that others can avoid this unpleasant experience and that this store will be held accountable for its unacceptable behavior towards customers.
