I called the Hyundai Shawinigan service this morning to get gear oil for a Kona Ev, firstly the guy who answered me didn't even know that there was oil changed on this vehicle he I had to explain to him where it was going then he started to challenge me when I mentioned to him that I was an electromechanic and that I knew my product and that I knew what I was doing. A bit of taunting on his part in the conversation with totally thoughtless remarks. I can't believe this person works in the department with such incompetence. Pay attention to your customers, they are the ones who make you live!!!

I had a headlight (daytime running light) that did not turn on. It was a car that I bought used and it seems that the headlight connector had been removed by the previous owner, which I was unaware of. I called this dealership to find out if it was possible to replace this part only or if it was necessary to change the entire headlight. I was asked to stop by to take a closer look, which I did. I was told after examination that it was enough to install a new connector. So I make an appointment and I ask them to take the opportunity to take a look at my rear windshield wiper which hasn't been working for a while.
Two weeks later: my appointment is at 9:30am, but they didn't come pick up my car until around 11am. After another 45 to 60 minutes of waiting, I was informed that the entire headlight needed to be replaced! A bargain for $600 (the car, a 2011 Elantra, probably isn't worth that). The windshield wiper? Also to be replaced. Furious, I left without having the work done. It still cost me $130.
The lighthouse will remain as it is. For the windshield wiper, I went to a mechanic near me; It turned out it only needed cleaning.

I have had my maintenance done regularly at Hyundai Shawinigan since 2019. I saw a problem on my car so I did some research to see if it could be covered by the warranty. I found a warranty that might apply and contacted Hyundai Shawingan for more information. I was told several times on the phone and in person that it was not covered under warranty and my questions were not answered. I had to insist on more details. Finally, we checked my file and a guarantee that could apply to the situation was still in effect. The service member made a request to Hyundai.My goal is not to have the issue covered under warranty at all costs, but I was disappointed that the two people I spoke to didn't seem to listen and didn't try to dig deeper. the question without me insisting.

Once the car is sold.... you can always run if you have a problem. I experienced this situation and now my daughter is experiencing the same scenario. This is the last time we will do business with Hyunday Shawinigan.
