“Excellent. I usually have a strong dislike of any store purporting to be a “general store” or “dep” but in reality is just a super expensive, extremely selective boutique. I thought this was one of them. It is not.
Pricey, sure. But a great neighbourhood staple filled with local goods, bulk coffee and snacks and soaps, proper staples of bread, cheese, some meats, and a huge beer selection.
This place is also one of the only places to get a decent selection of Quebec ciders and wine, and they have a solid non alcoholic selection as well.
Above all else though the staff are all super cool, happy to chat and help, and they’re open almost every day of the year. A+”

“Went to this store on my first time in Montreal coming from Toronto. I was looking to try new beers which aren't available in my province but unfortunately didn't find anything to my taste at SAQ.
The guys at SAQ suggested me this store which was exactly what I was looking for! I was greeted by the store owner who was very welcoming to me, since I don't know any brands popular in Montreal, I asked him to suggest a number of different types of beer and he seemed very willing to help me despite my lack of French.
Overall I had a great experience shopping here, the owner is very friendly and the beer is great so I highly recommend this place!”

That said however, the staff is super friendly and helpful - always with a smile on their face and a kind word. So long as the store has my product in stock, I will always choose my “neighbourhood” SAQ over the other bigger outlets.”

“They seem to always have whatever I am looking for. As for the employees they seem to be nice and usually in a good mood especially in comparison to other SAQs. I can tell that their first language is French but they're so nice to the point that they will speak English with you without any attitude ?It's a big deal because it's unusual at many SAQs”

Ensuite, en tant que client j'ai aidé à rassurer une cliente qui avait passé la caisse juste avant moi. Sa carte de crédit était sur le point d'expirer et quand elle a fait son paiement je lui dis que son paiement a passé car je reconnaissais le son du terminal quand n'importe qui tape avec sa carte de crédit. Ensuite ma transaction a passé comme une lettre à la poste et le caissier était heureux de voir que mon sac était bien caché dans ma poche.”
