Extremely bad service. They told me the car inspection would take 1h30, I ended up waiting for 3 hours. When the employee came to explain to me the car report, he kept saying “I think this and i think that” …. Like im paying 160$ for not even an exact inspection?? I would not recommend

Wow, what an amazing Canadian tire. Reportedly the third largest in Canada. Really nice renovation, the place looks enormous, and it is. I'm glad they did move the departments around so you shouldn't have a hard time navigating in the new place. Great job guys

I went to the auto department to have an alignment done since I cannot do it at home. (I'm a mechanic) I advised the reception that I am aware the inner tie rods are loose but to please do they best they can. I get a call back 2 hours later saying that they will not be doing the alignment because they need to replace the inner tie rods. The receptionist would not let me speak when on the phone and they kept talking over me. The only words they acknowledged was that I was going to pick up the car. ( I almost had to yell to get them to hear that I was going to pick up the car later) Now I have to pay 60$+ for information I already advised them of. Worst canadian tire garage service I have ever received.

2 months ago, I wrote a comment which can be read below.
Since then, I have gone back 5 times saying to myself (I'm a bit.... masochistic!!!) that with all the bad comments we can read about them, there must surely be someone who has finally decided to improve the situation.
WELL, NO!!! The situation is worse than ever. If there was a category like - 1 star, I would now give -5 stars. Several very "colorful" staff members know nothing about customer service and don't give a damn.
It is completely absurd that a national company tolerates such a situation.
The other stores on the Island of Montreal are really no better.
On the other hand, the one in Laval (on Le Corbusier) is quite a bit better. The service at the garage is very good. In the store, several women have been there for a long time and that improves the service. If the young people don't know more, at least the more "senior" staff take care of us and try to give us the best possible answers.
Hoping it doesn't get as shabby as on Côte Vertu.
First comment 2 months ago:
CT's new normal is less staff, less service. You have to ring the bell to get someone at the counter. The good years of CT are over!!! When you have the misfortune of coming across a young person, he doesn't know the store. Good luck finding what you're looking for!!?

I will not buy anything from this Canadian Tire location ever. The manager is rude and extremely unprofessional.
I went to buy a lamp for $140 and asked if they could plug it in so I could see how bright it was. The manager said no. I asked if I could return the lamp if it's not bright enough and he said "only if it's unused". I said "Of course, I will just plug it in and know immediately if it's not bright enough." He said "That's considered used so you can't return it if you plug it in."
After that the most ridiculous discussion ensued so I told him he could keep his lamp and I left the store. He didn't even seem to care whether he lost a sale or a customer.
This location is closest to my home but I drove all the way to the store in Kirkland where they happily plugged in the lamp for me and I happily gave them my money. I strongly suggest you save yourself the time and aggravation and drive to Kirkland for all of your Canadian Tire needs.

What a shame!!
We went to return a product after only 5days of purchase. They said if you used it then you have to exchange it right now we asked for a gift card so we can return later they said they dont offer this option aswell.
We had to go and look for something to exchange eventhough we didnt need it just so we dont lose our money.
It is our last time in that store we have been clients for years we never asked to return anything i just do not understand how are we suppose to know if a product is good enough to keep or return if we will not open it and use it once especially for big machines like coffe machines??
We will never return to that store.

Since when does Canadian Tire not take returns, only exchanges now? Bad experience today with return clerk and manager. They refused my return because the label was off the baby gate even though I brought it back with the gate. I accepted an exchange but they said I had to spend the credit immediately even though I had to return to work immediately. I took the gate with me and will contact head office because this is unacceptable. I will go to home Depot from now on. Buyer beware!!!!

Refusal of service without explanation of the reason for refusal is unacceptable

I called today for the auto center and got on the phone for 30 minutes without ever being answered. The clerk was on hold 5 times. After 30 minutes of waiting I hung up. And call Laval for a 3 minute wait to answer me. Canadian pulls Ville - St-Laurent never could.
