I stopped by to recharge my battery because my alternator had failed along the way and I wanted to go to my friend's house a few kilometers away. After telling me that he wouldn't do that to me for free, the mechanic came to encourage me to go to the garage door where he told me that according to him I could do 4-5 km easily with the charge my battery. I told him I didn't want to get stranded and towed and that I wouldn't mind paying to charge my battery and he told me again that I would be fine. I broke down 200 meters away and had to be towed.
