Hôtel Palace Royal offers a great location, close to major attractions like Old Québec, Petit Champlain, and the St. Lawrence River, with beautiful architecture and cafes nearby. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring beds and a nice view. Some rooms include a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The staff are consistently friendly, professional, and attentive, fixing issues quickly and offering late checkout. The hotel features a unique tropical-style swimming pool area with live music at night. The bathrooms are a highlight, with heated toilet seats and electric bidets. Restaurant Beffroi is also noted as great. However, some guests experienced issues such as inconveniently placed power plugs, a non-functioning jacuzzi, and a lack of tea bags. Curtains were not thick enough to block morning light, and one reviewer found the bed too soft. The pool could feel crowded at times, and the sound system for live music could be improved. EV charging was described as outrageously high priced. Despite these drawbacks, many guests still had a good experience and would happily stay again.

Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Our room had a great view facing the Fairmont Hotel and river. Location is great and about 30 minute walk through the old city - cafes, restaurants, and shops winding your way through beautiful architecture to the Fairmon Hotel, Notra Dame, and river.

Excellent location! Hotel was great and very cool concept. Restaurant Beffroi was great. Some adjustments were to be made but staff was friendly and very accommodating.
