My friend and I stayed there for a day of skiing. We slept for one night. I am a regular traveler both in Quebec and internationally. Here are the key points we observed.1) $175+tx per night for a double room without bathroom and without any particular amenities in the room is excessive. 2) A favorable point is the common areas (kitchen and living room) which we did not really use. 3) It was definitely too hot in our room. The building is a former presbytery with central hot water heating. There is no control over the temperature in the room. We had to open 2 windows all night in the middle of January to be comfortable. 4) For a place that welcomes skiers, I found that there was not enough secure space to dry our equipment. There is indeed the main entrance which is shared with other skiers which has a little space, but a place with drying devices and a security camera would do the trick. The space available in the room was insufficient. 5) The Chic Chac restaurant is right next door. It's excellent! Highly recommended. Nice atmosphere and just right price. Good quality of food. 6) The climbing trails are literally 200 m from the accommodation for Porphyre/Dalton. It's still good ! 7)For such quality of accommodation, I would have expected $80-100/night for 2 people. It's because there is a lack of competition that they can set such high prices... Personally, the next time I go skiing in Murdoch, I will sleep in Gaspé or in small hostels on the coast which are all within a maximum of 45 minutes by car. This experience really pissed me off! 8) The bathrooms were ok, but for $175 per night, I would have appreciated soap and shampoo provided with a soap dispenser in the shower. The bathroom on the ground floor is due for a facelift.

(Translated by Google) The concept is cool, without any pretension. Hostel style, but with comfortable linens and beds. The rooms are clean. The renovations are rustic, not perfect, but functional. The kitchens and the dining room allow you to have a ski weekend at a lower cost. We had great service at the rental shop to help us with the kids' hiking gear. See you next time!(Original)Le concept est cool, sans aucune prétention.

(Translated by Google) The rooms and bathrooms are correct, the common areas large, pleasant, well equipped and clean. The rooms are however badly soundproofed and it is therefore very noisy when the tenants of neighboring rooms are disrespectful (which was the case when we were there). We received several erroneous information on the events taking place at the Chic-Chac center by the reception, without anything being done in return to apologize for the consequences.
