I received very good advice when I went there to buy what I needed to install my toilet as well as wood to blow out a wall. Having very little knowledge of renovation, I was very well taken care of and I was able to purchase the necessary materials. Super good customer service, the gentlemen present were competent, friendly and helpful!

The employees at RONA do not have a good attitude on everything because the employees make mistakes with their prices and do not want to refund the difference on everything in the hardware and painting department the manager has a very unpleasant attitude

Here is the message sent to Rona head office in Boucherville:
On May 16, my partner and I went to the branch located at 3194 rue Beaubien east in Montreal. A friend told us that it was probably the worst Rona store but unfortunately, it was one of the only ones that had the item we were looking for. No employee in sight to help us and answer our questions. So we buy the item. At the checkout, the employee who passed by wearing a sweater so dirty that I would never have approached him, had difficulty responding to my hello. He paid more attention to his colleague, also a cashier.
The item was not suitable, we returned on May 21 for an exchange if possible or a refund. At the counter, two employees who talk among themselves and completely ignore us after we say hello to them. It was only when I told my partner that we couldn't be seen that one of them finally turned towards us. I opened the plastic bag properly as I always do in case there was a return. I explain to him that I could have resealed the bag but that I did not do so so that the employee could check if the 4 pieces are there and in good condition, as is usually done when returning . I brought the part I'm looking for a fitting for and he tells me what we need is an adapter which they don't have in store. I didn't have time to ask him for information on the part we needed (I would have done research to find one) so two other employees joined the first two and there, all four sat down. to express their opinion, all at the same time. A real cacophony! My partner intervenes by telling them that there are four of them and that it almost looks like an attack of four against one (me). He added that we had started with the young man and that we would continue with one person at a time. Another employee tells me that we cannot be reimbursed and I then show her the store policy behind the invoice. She tells me that the bag is open. I tell him that it's normal, that it had to be opened to have access to the parts and I explain again why I didn't reseal it with my machine. She ended up reimbursing me and one of the four employees told her that she herself would not reimburse. I ask her who she is and she tells me she is a floor manager. We left this establishment swearing never to set foot there again. I got my refund but this store lost two customers and everyone we are going to advise to never go there. We have never had such an unpleasant experience in a store. If I were in business, these employees, who have absolutely no respect either for the customers, or therefore for their employer, would never have a job with us.

Really annoying customer service, it's hard to do worse.
It always takes a long time to be able to speak with someone and the customer is obviously not important at all.
