I've been coming to little Italy since "forever", and my go to place in Montreal for Jewelry is/has been Oritalia for many reasons.1. Their Honest. I mean, most people know little to nothing about jewelry, diamonds, precious stones etc. So you need to know that wherever you do decide to go that a) their honest, and b) their knowledgeable. Oritalia is both. Sergio and his wife are wonderful (no pressure, full of information, kind and knowledgeable).2. The "man" (Sergio) is a true artisan of the craft of jewelry making. There is no "sending it out" to repair. They make a lot of their own jewelry and they repair. So your getting something you won't find in many places in the world (let alone Montreal), a master jewelry.3. Style and selection. You wouldn't expect it, given how humble Sergio and his Wife are, but they have classic and "today's" trends and styles in jewelry. So your getting the best of both worlds (to appease traditionalists, and those younger buyers looking for what's hot and trending).I don't even question price, because your getting a lot that you will not understand at first. It's just not about the cost, it's about WHAT your getting (it's like gas, your not going to find it down the street for half price) and everything that comes with it at first (and later, when you may need service & repair).Yes there is a guy across the street, and / or, everyone may say to you that they know "a guy". But for most important purchases, you need to know that you won't go wrong coming to Oritalia because of what I mentioned above in my review.
