I dropped by this grocery around 5:20 today, as I often do since I live next door. I saw that they were advertising a specific ice cream flavour as being on special for 4.99$, so I grabbed one and went to the register to pay up.
Said ice cream rang up at 6.99$, so I told the cashier about the 4.99$ special being advertised, and informed her that since it rang up at a higher price, the Politique d'exactitude des prix required that I get the item for free as it was under 10$.
She brought over some sort of older higher up employee, who right off the bat started berating me and laughing at my face, saying I wasn't entitled to anything, and that I could either buy the product or leave.
I'll be filing a complaint with the OPC tomorrow, and I hope it results in their employees being better trained so they understand what their legal obligations are. I've had items rung up at the wrong price at places like IGA and Jean-Coutu before, and I never had to ask for the Politique to be respected because employees already knew. If this place believes they can get away with breaking the law because they're a smaller grocery, they are sorely mistaken.

Small but packed grocery store with excellent prices. Good bilingual service. They also have a high-quality photocopier with rates much lower than a standard copy shop.

I am a customer who wanted to point out the rudeness of the cashier and another employee.
When arriving at the checkout, no greeting, no eye contact either. The cashier was too busy talking about her cat with the other employee leaning against the counter.
At the end when she finally took the time to talk to me and look at me to see if I wanted the bill, I just didn't respond because her poor service made me angry. That's when the two employees started laughing at me.
I left.
I feel that I have been poorly served and also that I have been disrespected. As a customer, this is unacceptable.

This is a nice little place that somehow manages to fit everything we usually need into their shop. They also carry plain canned pumpkin which I use for my dog, and struggle to find elsewhere.
