Excellent alternative to the Olivier Branch Market in Wellington, much too bohemian for my taste. There is a staggering choice of dried goods and spices at a fraction of the usual price. Run by a very friendly South Asian couple. I recommend it !

Editing my post as my recent experience was not up to the mark.The prices have increased and by a huge margin. Almost felt scalped when I checked the bill after purchase of some products. I will say it was my fault for not being thorough enough but BEWARE : Re-Confirm the Price of stuff that you purchase before you pay . The bill is very vague in terms of what vegetables cost what amount.They only take debit payment or cashProducts are not always imported they might be locally sourced from Ontario. They are being sold at huge marginsI have been staying in Montreal long enough to know that sweets are usually not priced above 10$ per pound(lbs)Please check the price of products before you purchase them as the price may not be indicated on the product itself.

Food I bought had mold in it and the owners were very disrespectful. Almost had to call the police to get a refund. Please do yourself a service and go somewhere else!!

This is the worst customer service I have received in my life. No desire to go back with the attitude and lack of politeness I received from the staff. We feel like we're doing our shopping and disturbing the employees with our simple presence. I do not recommend this business to anyone.

Beware buying stuff from this place. Stopped by to buy a drink only to realize it was expired and had black mold after I drank half of the bottle.

BEWARE!!! check what you buy before paying. I took 2 Indian bhujiya (snacks). 1.49$ each when I went to counter, the guy said 5$. I told him that it’s 1.49$+1.49$ = 3$ maybe 50 cent tax so like 3.50$ but he denied. When he scanned the item again, I told him look it shows 1.49$ then he started arguing that card is minimum 5$ and I was like really so u didn’t tell me this and put 5$ for no reason. I was like what a joke. So he literally tried to scam me. Please check what you buy so they don’t just put what they like. Although when I bought these same things couple of weeks ago, the lady told the right amount. Please check the picture also. The guy was literally rude, I mean first try to trick the customer and then behave rudely when they catch you.

PSA: beware of the owner Mr. Bulu Datta. Do not rent his apartments.
He is a scammer. I contacted him about renting an apartment. He took money (the rent of first month) from me and said he would start the paperwork. He didn’t do any paperwork, instead demanded that I give him another month’s rent. I told him to return my money as I was no longer interested in his apartment. He withheld my money. I had to sue him in court to get that money back.
So yeah, try to stay away from this guy and his family.
