Lovely bookstore that has many details that make a visit to this shop a unique experience. It is more remarkable since we see bookstores disappear. Thanks for the chair or two to skim through books; I did not feel any pressure to buy. The attendant was helpful when I asked about earth art books.

A must-see in old Montreal. With a space that's not that big, they manage to have a wide selection of books, in French and English.
The booksellers who work there are charming. They are always there to help you find your next read, whether at the bookstore or by ordering it.
It's rare that I go in without coming out with some reading (even when I hadn't planned to buy anything ?)

Montreal has so many excellent book stores but I have to name this one the best. They have an interesting selection, in both English and French, and I always fine unexpected gems when I go to browse. They are amazing at custom orders and I've been able to find the most obscure books for my chaotic collection. But what sets them apart is the customer service and I am so grateful to them. This is definitely my number one bookstore and the best place in Old Montreal.
