I went to exchange a shirt and shorts, both of which were unworn with their tags still on (purchase date May 25th). Reason for exchange: the tank top ended up having an odd silhouette and gaped in the arm hole. The shorts had a noticeable fabric pull on the leg.
When I arrived to the store two weeks ago (within the return window) the doors were locked with a note saying " closed due to power outage".
I left for a work trip and was able to come back to exchange/ return today (June 30th).
They were unable to find my transaction, however I pulled up my transaction history on my VISA and showed them. For whatever reason, my email was not applied to the purchase at the time.
I was 5 days outside the return window. They were able to exchange the shorts for a pair without a fabric pull as an "exception" because they had some in the backroom. The tank top they weren't able to do anything with because they said it was outside the return window and they couldn't find my transaction receipt in their system because it is deleted after 30 days.
I work in the clothing industry and supply over 400 retail doors across Canada and am a little surprised that they weren't able to do anything for me given the circumstance (seemed to be quite rigid). I am a return customer with 6 or 7 store transactions. This isn't great for customer retention and I suggest they provide more flexibility in the future.

The people are very kind,helpful, and patient ! They answered all my questions (I had a lot) and didn’t pressure me to buy anything. They made my visit very pleasant. It seems like a great company with good morals, i’m gonna look more into it & go back to shop soon.
