The place is pretty following the renovations that have taken place there. Prices remain astronomical for ordinary quality products. Fruits and vegetables are a disaster.

Much better since the renovations but on the parking side there are only 2 spaces for the disabled, he could have made the effort to add at least a third.

It might be amazing. But double count that budget because IGA is definitely not on the cheap end.

I only go there for the specials. This week, frozen pork shanks at 5.05 per kilo. I bought a pack of 4 and as it is difficult to see clearly when the product is frozen, what was my surprise to see that there was only one. The other 3 were just bones. Maybe the butcher doesn't know what we do with pork shanks...it's not like soup bones...we need the leg meat. Anyway, next time I'll go elsewhere or buy fresh shanks.

Following the renovations after the pandemic, I had some expectations of change from this neighborhood IGA. Knowing that the clientele is made up of elderly people, thirty-somethings, boomers from Cité-Jardin and people experiencing homelessness, I expected better... it's a neighborhood grocery store but the prices are increasing expensive... between $7-$15 or sometimes $20... we are talking here about soups, fish, prepared meals like Ricardo, 3 times a day, frozen foods, meats, hot meals, products on trays of cut fruits and vegetables.. .again this can happen since customers will make choices based on their financial and food needs. I used to buy Jardi products, especially their oatmeal for around $2.50, they no longer have it. Yet popular. I changed products thinking that the pandemic might have impacted them but I found it at the IGA on Jean-Talon. Now, they have removed them there too to put their bulk products in containers that do not sell. Recently it's the turn of organic brown rice to miss in small format $3.99. But they have it at the big IGA, it's starting to get annoying especially since they only sell mid-large bags for $12-15, not the Uncle Bens there, the real rice. Something that I do not approve of and which made me sick twice and made me return to the place for a refund are the meals prepared on site. The expiration dates are dated for example December 1, December 4 and we are on December 8...and this for the majority of meals even those below. However, there are employees in the cold cuts/hot meals department. The rotation is often neglected because I often find pita bread, cheese, cucumber style meals which look beautiful but once opened the bread is dry and hard and the cucumbers are rendered with white on them, soft... I am fell ill twice, once with chicken sushi and a cold pita-style meal. Severe cramps, nausea and so on. Sometimes sausages and minced meat meals are scary to see, vegetables turned gray.. a lot of elderly people buy them.. I find that the products and prices do not reflect the clientele in the neighborhood. As for quality and labeling, we really need to improve. Disinfect baskets, especially in winter, or distribute wipes to prevent people from getting sick. Also replace your price machine in the toilet paper row, it does not indicate the prices after promotions and your labels are incorrectly placed each time I leave a product behind because it is not indicated on the label and on the crate, they will look at each other with carp eyes. The young packer with mid-length blond hair smells really strong, please tell him to take care of his personal hygiene during his break or work equal to his salary.

Even in renovation, you can do your groceries. There's parking in the back of the store. The prices are reasonable, the produce is good. A good place to buy local.

The new renovations really improved the customer experience when shopping. Still missing some places that needs to be finished like the main entrance on Beaubien street, the floor, and the back entrance where the shopping carts are now, the finishings are also missing. But at the end they're just details. In general I think is really nice?.
