Teller put my birthdate in wrong during an ID update and I lost access to all my accounts. 4 hours later I’m still not fully able to access my accounts. While I was waiting I saw another teller count out the wrong amount of cash for a different client. ????

Worst bank ever. I went to open an account with an appointment. I came early and waited for 1 hour just later to be told the person who was supposed to help me is busy and no one else is available.

On February 17, 2022 I had a meeting set up with Ms. Christelle Ndzie at HSBC branch office situated on 2313 St. Catherine West, Suite 121 in Montreal… to open an Advance account.After completing the formalities and signing the necessary documentation I was told by Ms. Ndzie that, should my account be kept in good standing for the next Six month a Welcome Bonus of $200 will be credited to my account. And I did keep my account in good standing.On December 7, 2022 I went to the Sherbrooke branch, for some banking business, since the branch on St. Catherine had already closed during the summer.There I raised with the teller the problem of a non credited welcome bonus. The teller consulted with her boss and told me after checking, that while checking his computer was locked!!! and that they would get back to me in a couple of days. Which they never did!Bad service, poor communication, complaints escalation a joke.

Complete and utter incompetence. Gives a bad name to HSBC internationally. It's no surprise they couldn't last in Canada with their appalling service and lack of accountability.

If you want to build wealth develop a relationship with one of Canada's main banks. Like the Royal Bank. HSBC is managed by computer systems and you might as well just deal online with a form because the branches have no authority to make any decision.

Unfortunately the branch is run by a bunch of incompetent, probably the recruitment of the employees is done in the street, rather to find professional and well trained people. I have been bombarded with letters for s doc that have s deadline for which the deadline in itself was not expired, now there is a complaint and I will bombard them till they will not provide an apology and s compensation for the distressed unecessary caused....

The customer service were chatting when there was a long line of customers waiting in front of the desk. And the customer service did not know how to proceed a request of collecting a written cheque prepared and left THERE by a manager...maybe they even need to train how to store their documents.

I ordered a new MasterCard and set this bank as my “default” bank. Went in person to validate a bunch of information. It took them too long to submit my info to Mastercard so my card arrived late. Several emails went unanswered when I tried to fix the issue. Leaving 2 stars because the guy at the counter was nice.

I would give 0 star if it was possible! Had in person qnd phone call appointments with A. She even didn't have enough information to know what kinds of benefits has been mentioned in their website, and for the phone call she didn't call me and when I called her she said she had another appointment and didn't respond to me anymore!Don't even bother to go there!
