“Oh what a beautiful bookstore and local business. Beautiful window and such a beautiful and calm bookstore. A large selection of Quebec books. Go encourage them instead of ordering online from the American whose name starts with A and ends with N. There is no problem with outdoor parking, it is free and spacious. Make sure you lock your vehicle securely.”

“Lovely bookstore that has many details that make a visit to this shop a unique experience. It is more remarkable since we see bookstores disappear. Thanks for the chair or two to skim through books; I did not feel any pressure to buy. The attendant was helpful when I asked about earth art books.”

“This bookstore is one of the most secret and richest treasures in Montreal. It's a veritable Ali-Baba's cave for lovers of classic literature and other belles-lettristes, as the Germans say so well. Everyone will find what they are looking for, at a price that will allow them to fill a big bag of books from which to draw pleasure, wisdom or comfort.”

“Charming neighborhood bookstore, courteous and competent employees. I went there to sell my books and I found the experience more pleasant than at L'Échange. I had time to wander around the store a bit and there were used and new books interspersed, organized by genre. When it comes to selling books, they are interested in literature, philosophy, etc. They don't really take recipe books, English books or young adult books. At 222 (opposite), they will buy young adult/teen books. The two branches buy books at 25% of the market price. In short, good experience and I recommend for buyers (although the selection is not huge) and sellers!
PS: the books you don't sell could delight the foundations and patients of your local hospital, so don't hesitate to head there with what you have left!”

“Nice independent bookstore right downtown. Everything is well organized and some books have little summaries handwritten by staff on cue cards. I love that old-style feel. You can order books online from them and if they don't have them, they'll order it for you. Takes a bit longer than the big A but it feels so much nicer to support a home-grown business.”

“I love books; I love to read. I like to linger in this store, no rush and peruse the shelves; this makes me very happy, not to be rushed. The staff at Paragraphe always strive to get for me the book that I want to read and I so appreciate their knowledge, their efforts, and their efficiency!”

“Very nice bookstore which offers both a beautiful and large selection of books in English as well as a selection of books in French.Personally, I am a big fan of business books, and I appreciate the selection made in this bookstore. I realized over time that if the book is not available in this bookstore and has to be special ordered, it is because it is probably not interesting.”

“Bibliophile is a treasure. Their first-class service and extensive proficiency in all genres of books is simply unmatched. Yet those qualities are second only to the genuine love Bibliophile has for books and their readers - young and young at heart. How many businesses can boast over thirty years of continued success? Thank you for your wonderful recommendations (and the beautiful wrapping for special gifts!) from a fellow book lover. See you soon!”

“Idk man it’s a bookstore for the university I could’ve sat there for hours reading to be frank but that’s me in any bookstoreThe stuff is relatively inexpensive!”

“Good address. Especially since the renovations. Not the most imposing store in terms of space, but an astonishing choice (especially when it comes to books). Large youth/children section. I was able to find 3 of the 4 items I was looking for thanks to a truly dedicated and attentive clerk. Of course, being a big music lover, I would have liked a wider choice (particularly with regard to vinyls), but what we offer the customer remains acceptable all the same. Recommended.”
