We purchased a $2,000 mattress from Hudson's Bay in the LaSalle area on May 3rd, with a promised delivery date of June 22nd. When that day arrived, we received no communication from the store—no call, no email, nothing. It was as if our order had vanished into thin air.
After taking the initiative to contact the store ourselves, we were informed that the mattress hadn't even arrived at their warehouse. They then promised a delivery within the next 3-4 days after it arrives at the warehouse on June 26th, but again, there was no follow-up communication; we were left to find out the status on our own.
Upon calling customer support three days later, we were stunned to learn that not only had the mattress still not arrived, but now the delivery was pushed nearly four months from our purchase date. It's ludicrous to expect someone to wait four months for a mattress delivery, especially when it's marketed as a "luxury" item.
The lack of communication and customer care from this store is appalling. It seems all they care about is taking our money, not providing the service promised. Their responses to complaints appear to be nothing more than copy-pasted messages, offering no real resolution. For anyone considering making a purchase here, I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere. Hudson's Bay in LaSalle has shown a complete disregard for customer experience. This has been a hugely inconvenient and frustrating ordeal, and we are now seeking compensation for the significant inconvenience caused.
