Plus the quality should be considered in the affordability question, because the fruits bought at the budget stores need throwing out a third of the time. If you're on a budget just be strategic with what you buy here, it's a lovely store. Great fruit vegetables & meat... the turkey is super affordable here for some reason ?”

“Definitely a good choice for people living around that area. The price-band is higher than the supermarkets located a few miles away. Some special types of food which are difficult to find in other stores like dry fish, flours of special cereals/grains and vegetables are available here. The staff there was very helpful and friendly in locating the material of my choice.”

The system is very user friendly, easy to add or change orders and the produce was excellent. The driver was so nice and explained everything to me and the steps for next time as well. “Lovely big location with lots of great department store items as well as a very well stocked grocery store. Excellent, competitive, prices for everything. It was busy when I last visited but the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. A good place to go for your Sprague's Beans products, they carry at least three of the available flavours. Recommended location.”
“I went there today and I find the staff very friendly towards me. I was really impressed by the young gentlemen that works I assume as a stock boy (man). I was going to roll the cart all the way to my car but he offered to put carry my groceries all the way to the trunk of my car. Talk about being curtious! ?”

“Updated May 2023Overall, this is a great place to buy bulk food items, get cake decorating supplies, spiced, health foods, and supplements. There are often coupons available: $3 off per $15, or $5 off per $20. Wednesday is 10% off for Seniors (65+) and Students. You do have to know your prices, as not everything is cheaper than the grocery stores. But that is with any store. However, if you bundle your purchases with the $3 or $5 off coupons, the cost is usually still lower than the grocery stores.Sundays are Sustainable Sundays, and you get 15% off REGULAR priced items. You need to bring a clean reusable container, and have it weighed before using it.”

“Helpful, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and a nutritionist on staff to help you if you have any questions or need help/suggestions They offer a points program, which does add up, I've recieved money off my order (10.00). Every few months there is a customer appreciation sale, with 20% off all products. They sell bulk herbs & baking ingredients and have a good selection of gluten-free items, also sell groceries & supplements, as well as beauty products. If there's anything you really like, that they have access to, they will special order it in for you, whether just once or on an ongoing basis (if want a specific gluten free bread every couple weeks, etc), they do not charge extra for this service and will give you a call when your item arrives.”

“If you need Caribbean and African specialty items, this is the place to go in Ottawa! I’m Jamaican and I was able to find a lot of specialty items such as Jamaican patties, buns/bread, cheese, snacks, fruits such as Guinep and mangoes. I would highly recommend to visit if you need items that are hard to find.”

“Although the store is quite small for a Provigo, they have a huge selection of vegan and gluten free PC brand stuff. And let me tell you, it feels good to have good products for cheaper! They taste really good as well. I go there for specific things that no where else has, not even other Provigos! Well done”
