I had a wonderful experience at IGA extra Marché Galvin
I order 2 baskets for a special occasion , they really took the time to listen to my needs, requests and budget . They even went the extra mile in providing cotton napkins utensils and plates and wine glasses.
I didn’t just get 2 big baskets I also received to small ones all within my budget.

Wonderful experience with the bakery. Enjoying one of the most beautifully decorated and delicious cakes with my family, created with very little notice (due to my poor planning) but with obvious care and skill. The person in the bakery on Sunday (I forget the lady’s name) offered an incredible customer experience and, in so doing, created an IGA convert. Thank you.

Very well maintained. The staff is highly professional and helpful. Growing selection of craft beers, including the new line from Labrosse, the local brewery from Pointe-Claire. Prices are good also.

Yesterday I went to Metro to buy charcuterie at 4:40 pm and they were closed. Today, it’s IGA at 5:40 pm and their employee was cleaning their station saying their shift is over (very respectful employee, no complaint there). We were 3 customers there who did not want to purchase packaged cold cuts for freshness and cost. Unacceptable for IGA to close their charcuterie department as people are coming in after work or the end of their day. Request that Samuel change the end time to 7 PM.

A much larger IGA in the West Island. Good selection, usually well stocked and good service at the counter.

My family and I have been going to this IGA since it’s opening. I have always justified the higher pricing because of the customer service. However, I was quite disappointed by having to bag my own items when the supervisor and an employee were standing around the front counter. The cashier apologized to the gentleman behind me for the delay because I was bagging rather than help me. I will think twice before going back when there are many other grocery stores in the area.
