I would have given negative stars if I could!I reserved a car from Hertz for my trip to Montreal a month in advance, expecting them to have the car ready by the time of my airplane arrival or at least within half an hour. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the booth, I was informed that it would take at least an hour to get the car, as they had other customers who booked on the same day. This lack of priority for customers who booked well in advance was very disappointing.Additionally, the head of the team, Mohammad, was extremely rude and unprofessional when we expressed our concerns about the wait time. Instead of offering a solution, he told us, “It is what it is. If you don’t want it, you can go, and we don’t offer any refund.” His dismissive attitude was unacceptable and added unnecessary stress to our trip.I requested to speak with a manager, but Mohammad claimed there were no managers on site until Monday and refused to provide any direct contact information for them. Instead, he gave me the general Hertz contact number, which I called multiple times without any response.This experience has left a very negative impression of Hertz. The lack of customer service, professionalism, and respect for customers is unacceptable. I will not be using Hertz again and would advise others to consider alternative rental companies for their needs.

Update:Despite not getting a rental from them because of the delay, they have not returned my money after this long.Hertz is probably the worst company I ever dealt with. They didn't have my car available on time. They didn't communicate that until after I waited in line for 40 minutes. Only then they said the wait time is 2 hours.The local rental location doesn't pick up the phone.The tool free number simply tells you to use the website.The chat on the website is unavailable.Your only remaining option is to submit a form to hear back from them in 3-5 business day!That is horrible. Companies are becoming less and less responsible for their bad services. They only make it convenient to get your money and sell their less that terrible services, but when it comes to be accountable, they disappear.

From the moment I arrived, his patience and thoroughness were evident as he explained every detail with utmost politeness and a warm smile. His attitude towards clients is superb, making the entire rental process smooth and stress-free.Clear Explanation of Insurance OptionsTypically, I opt for full insurance coverage with rental cars. However, Dickson's clear and informative explanation of the benefits of deductibles convinced me to choose that option as well. Additionally, I decided to avail myself of the road services he recommended. His dedication to ensuring I understood all aspects of my rental agreement was truly impressive and greatly appreciated.Above and Beyond ServiceFurthermore, Dickson went above and beyond to ensure I received the best car suited to my needs. This level of care is rare and deserves commendation.Efficient Return ProcessReturning the car was also a breeze. The team at the return counter was very helpful and efficient, making the process quick and easy.Commendation for DicksonDickson and the team are undoubtedly an asset to Dollar Car Rental. His professionalism, courteous demeanor, and commitment to client satisfaction left a lasting impression on me. I am thoroughly impressed with his attitude and the exemplary service he provides.Suggestions for Improvement• Service Expansion: Consider expanding services to provide cars at specific, nearby, or home locations for added convenience.• Additional Driver Insurance: Introduce an option to add additional driver insurance via a virtual or application-based system. Car reserved from a website at an advantageous price.My card does not go through, so he does not accept my reservation.Result rental of the car with my wife's card. My wife does not want to drive and Hertz takes only the owner of the payment card as the main driver. I had to put myself as secondary driver. Significant additional costs. On the site it was said that in the price there would be a GPS: No GPS on this new reservation. Still additional costs. Basically they do everything to extract extra money from you. To forbid.

Nothing to complain about. We arrived at a Sunday evening and had to wait for our car (booked together with a Lufthansa flight) for approximately 20 Minutes. Very friendly staff (thank you, Killian). The car return at Toronto Airport was done very quickly. Good service!

We had a problem with our previously rented vehicle at the MTL airport (orange engine light on). We made the exchange at the Quebec airport. The lady who welcomed us was incredibly kind and responsive!She even offered to upgrade us with a pick-up! And gave us advice for the rest of our stay in Canada. Thank you ?!

We don’t often write reviews, and mostly do so to warn fellow travelers about appalling customer services, but for once, we were so impressed by the efficiency and helpfulness of the Hertz employees at Montreal airport that we had to spread the word.They literally saved our holidays !To sum up, we booked a travel through an agency my mother is a regular client of : 10 days through the Quebec province by car.She specifically told them multiple times that, being afraid of driving abroad, I will be the designated driver.The agency still registered the whole trip and therefore the car rental under her name.But having no intention to drive at all, as specified, she didn’t even brought her driving license to Canada.So we ended up explaining our situation, late at night, exhausted and jet lagged, to an employee who could not immediately sort out our problem but remained patient and courteous even when I wasn’t anymore.We took a taxi to downtown Montreal, and back at the airport the next day, another employee patiently went out of his way to find a solution and we finally got our ( upgraded) car: an absolutely brand new Ford Escape with every options , down to the heated steering wheel.We were also offered the possibility to bring the car back with an empty tank, and pay for the tank to be filled at a very interesting price ( we compared).And to finish, another misunderstanding later, we changed more money than we needed and , even though the manager was clearly not happy about it, we still were exceptionally allowed to pay for the upgraded insurance and gas in cash.We haven’t been the easiest customers and Hertz could easily have washed its hand off of it but they saved our trip and provided a truly outstanding customer service until the very end.We definitely will rent our next car through them .

Read the documents carefully before signing because fees are added without your agreement. Exorbitant amounts are taken from my credit card after returning the car even though I had already paid before taking it.Hertz, dollar no service in French so basically if you don't speak English...run again.Hertz in Dorval never answers the phone. I went there and surprised no customer. I called to see the reaction of the employees and well, it rang and they spoke in the back.Car rental from them is a real scam

Called 2 weeks ahead to confirm a 1am pick up time worked. When I went to book today I was told the latest was 11pm or 7am. Thanks for nothing

Once I arrived to pick up my rental, I was told that I would have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a vehicle to be ready. 2hrs later and still no vehicle. Agents at desk did not explain why there was a delay nor apologize for the inconvenience. As a loyal Hertz member this is not the service that I expect.
