After a long flight and an indifferent experience at CDG Airport in France, we arrived to a more friendly welcome at Montreal and this continued to the Staff at Alamo at the Airport. Carlo was literally the most professional and helpful person who deserves to be mentioned as was the guy who prepared the car for us. I rented cars all over Europe and US and this was the best experience. So glad we changed to Alamo ,

I only have one thing to say, excellent. Yes, the guys are present, quick without being intrusive or pushy, really welcoming, understanding, very friendly. Honestly, no negative points, or areas for improvement. When it's impeccable, it must be said. So well done! gentlemen for your professionalism and kindness. My worst memory of Canada.Smile and speed on arrival with Api who tells us that everything is going to be fine that we are "upgraded" with a GMC terrain instead of a TOYOTA RAV 4 and also well insured in the event of a problem.And on the last day of our stay, the car had a problem.When I accelerate it doesn't move forward. Orange engine light and transmission indication on the dashboard.After finding a kind soul who lends us his phone, I contact the assistance who tells me that they are sending a tow truck and that we just have to order a taxi.What, without a phone?No worries, order an Uber.Am I going to install the app now?In short, a family left on the side of the road with their suitcases who ended up boarding the 747 bus for the airport.Arriving at the Alamo counter, I find the previous opinions: no empathy, Api even tells me that the towing of the car will be my responsibility.Arrival of manager Marica, who reads the transcript of my conversation with the audience and concludes that I was angry and hung up abruptly.Assistance that assists the car and not the people is not great. Staff who are not in the "care" but who suspect you of I don't know what is disturbing.However, we leave with Marica with a done deal, the car has arrived and he sends me a copy of a request for reimbursement of 100 CAD for transport to the airport and the inconvenience.But it is not finished. I have no news of this "refund" which is going through BSP-auto and I have just received a request for a withdrawal of 214.08 CAD this May 1st from the company Alamo for..... I don't know yet.A tow perhaps or a full tank that I should have done with the car on the tow truck?I sent an email requesting an explanation. It is 03/05 in France and I have no response from Macira or BSP and no quote or invoice from Alamob which would explain the request to collect such a sum even though 2 weeks have passed since then.There you have it, a great Canadian adventure. So yes, like everyone else, I would have easily given it 5 stars if everything had gone well. But it is in adversity that we recognize the competence and sense of values of a company through its employees. And there's a problem.

Terrible experience will never come to Alamo ever even if they provide free cars. bad customer service by their manager.I rented car for 1 day that’s 24hour and my total was $236 one way charges.When I went to pickup the representative ask me to pay more than when I reserve car $299 (by the name of airport charges+ they were arguing that my reservation is for 2days) I talked with economy booking that they are asking more price by name of 2 days and airport fees. They talked to Alamo manager but he seems to avoiding to talk and misleading with 2 days of reservations.Even economy booking also agree with me that the manager is misleading with false information for 2 days and they are not understanding that this reservation is for 1 dayI have rented vehicles with all major companies but for airport fees are always included in reservation I told to manager and he replies that when you return car you will only charge what you have used (for 1day or 2days) lol, so far I know that rental company never pays you back and it doesn’t matter you use it or no once it’s paid it is paid. But the manager was trying to make me fool here. After little argument manager said that this extra fees are for drop of charges at airport. After reading some reviews here of Alamo I think I saved my money by not choosing Alamo.So at the end Alamo manager force me to sell car for 2 days which I did not wanted and I booked for 1 day they were denying me to give for 1 day. Their attitude was like you pay $63 extra or cancel the reservation, someone will take the car, this was from manager not other employee. And he waited us for more than 1 hour. And at the end I had to cancle reservation as besides them enterprise was offering me even cheaper and most important for only 1 DAY lol.Whoever is reading this review I suggest please chose enterprise, Avis, Hertz. But not Alamo because they are totally scam and tries to make fool their customers and harass the travellers by unethically paying more.Never ever will go back to Alamo

Excellent service at the counter on the other hand you wait for your car which should have been ready for you in advance 30 minutes not normal plus you did your express check-in in advance

Horrible experience after a long flight. Despite having reserved our SUV months in advance, not only did they not have a vehicle for us, but they charged us in advance and then kept us waiting for over an hour (all while we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us). When they couldn’t give us any reasonable estimate on how much longer following our hour long wait, we finally cancelled our reservation. We were told we would get a full refund (still fighting to get our refund on the prepaid insurance!) And after 3 weeks, they still have a hold on my credit card for the full amount! A true scam!!!

Car with an error message after 5 days a whole evening wasted to make the exchange!No apologies, no compensation, the unspeakably rude sub-manager.Customer service is pitiful.
