This place is fantastic. The service is great. The employees are super nice and knowledgeable. I always find something cool in there, from video games to consoles ? they have it all, and at fair prices too. From the 80s up until now. If you are in the area, set aside half an hour and check'em out. You'll be happy you did ?

I bought my computer at Micro Châteaugay, I LOVED their turnkey service. I asked to have everything I had on my old device and it was done. There was a small bug with the sound and they fixed everything quickly, without delay and without extra money. The owners are friendly and the store is absolutely beautiful.I recommend !

This is honestly the best computer and retro gaming store not just in Chateauguay but most likely in a 10km radius. Give these guys your business. What they have there is pretty dang special. The 1 star reviews are for sure situations of people not getting their way. The employees there are *super* nice and understanding. Keep up the awesome works guys.

I was building a new computer and it wouldn't POST, didn't have the parts needed to check which part was defected. They found out it was the CPU and now everything works after I warrantied it. Saved me a headache!

After a couple years of coming back to these guys for professional cleanings, ,fried/slow pc diagnostics and replacements, spare parts (custom orders for gpu fans that are even discontinued, twice) extremely respectable prices.. Anything PC and even console fix related you must go here, personally haven't had a computer outside my house for over 24 hours they are fast and competent. Very rare to find nowadays full respect to these people, support them

The owner is unprofessional, poorly spoken and very hot headed. Sadly customer service no longer exists. The exact words from the owners mouth “we don’t care, you’re not important” while one of his staff was giggling and laughing and saying “she thinks she’s important”.This is true I’m one customer out of thousands they will continue to grow and prosper because while you’re handing them money they are smiling and well mannered. (I know, I have purchased 2 gaming pcs from them) however when you need help or just a little human decency….the owner is not interested and very temperamental.Drama aside, I purchased 2 gaming systems , one had to be taken back twice with problems which I was charged $60 to see what was wrong, plus the work needed. It was not problems to do with how the system was used but faulty parts. Both times it cost me well over $100. The systems are now approx 3 years old and completely useless. Instead of sinking more money into poorly built systems we have opted to purchase new. I understand you need to continually put money and work into the systems but I was over charged for poor quality.Bonus one of his employees not sure of his name ( black hair) very calm, kind and knowledgeable. If you need to go to the store please see this gentlemen. Just beware if you have an issue with there products.I like how you changed the narrative. Indeed I did ask for another way to be ID. Agree I left and came back. Of course I was agitated I walked for 30 mins had to walk back to my home and walk back again. You were unwilling to listen to my questions and kept talking over me. Not once did I say I was going to put you out of business. Who do you think, I think I am? I’m just a little confused how you knew me and have me on file, when I was buying computers but suddenly there was no way you could help. I never threatened your employees. I told your employee that he was sympathetic and kind and I thanked him. I said that you and your other employee was ignorant and rude. You were giggling and laughing. You should listen to your customers instead of jump to conclusions and loose your temper. You yelled get out of my store 30 times. What was I doing??? I’m 42 years old with a clean record not so much as a traffic ticket. I doubt I was throwing threats or making trouble I was trying to communicate. You were not near me as I was speaking, it was your employee who told you I said these things, which i did not. Instead of listening you choose to yell and approached me with the opening “I understand your having a melt down” I would love for you to replay your security and listen to what I actually said cause I never threatend anyone ex specially on a personal level I don’t know them. I said I was not going to do business there anymore. So call the cops if you wish but your assuming I want to come back to your store. I just wished I had never taken my business to you in the first place. Normally I support small businesses which is why I came there in the first place. Best of luck with how you approach customers with your temper.

I apologize for the lengthy account, but I wanted to share my unfortunate experience. Initially, I sought professional assistance to install a new processor, given my lack of experience in this area and the significant cost of the processor. My computer was a prebuilt system that was fully operational when I handed it over, and I also requested a power supply upgrade alongside the processor installation.Upon receiving my computer the following day and starting a game, it repeatedly experienced Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crashes. After conducting some research, I discovered that the power supply they had used had a poor reputation, with a one-star rating and a history of power issues and units arriving dead on arrival. When I returned to the store, I was informed by Paul that the CPU wasn't compatible with my motherboard and that I needed to replace it, necessitating a new motherboard and case. At this point, my expenses had already exceeded $300.After leaving my computer for further repairs, Paul assured me that it was running smoothly and crash-free. However, upon taking it home, it promptly crashed again. Examining the Windows event log, I even noticed that it had crashed at the store 20 minutes before they called me to report that everything was fine and they had tested it for an hour without any issues. In frustration, I decided to purchase a new power supply and install it myself. Since then, my PC has not experienced any crashes. In summary, they initially installed a subpar component, and instead of heeding my concerns based on research, they recommended unnecessary upgrades, costing me multiple trips to the store and an additional $600+.While they did refund the cost of the power supply, they insisted that my PC couldn't have been working with the original setup (even though it had been running perfectly for six months). This felt like an accusation of dishonesty, compounding my dissatisfaction. Whether due to a lack of knowledge, ignorance, or potentially unscrupulous practices, I would advise others to avoid this establishment. Consider visiting Canada Computers or following a YouTube tutorial for a DIY solution instead.EDIT: They reply calling me a liar, and in proving their own Ignorance say a GPU that only needs 200Watts to run wont run on a 500 Watt PSU that I ran the card with for months prior to going there. Also the GPU was compatible with the board, I think you are getting confused again as it was the CPU that you claimed wasn't compatible and was causing my crashes. ( Which it wasn't)

I had gotten pc parts as a wedding gift and thought I would have time to do it on my own. But with work, it was pretty hard to find any time. I called last Saturday to ask if they would be willing to assemble it. I was happily surprised that they had a spot in the early morning. Brought it at 11 and got it at 1pm. They were super nice and they even helped me get a better case to suit my needs. After a week of having the pc, I am really glad I went to this store. I have been going to CIPC for the last 15 years, but that all changed thanks to you guys!I would greatly suggest anybody to come and see you and get a pc built by you. Thanks a lot! Also their prices are competitive and they have better deals on keyboards than Amazon!
