I visited on November 4, 2024 11:55AM
Employee (madam) with white hair at the automatic cash register who doesn't know the price policy and she seems to have an attitude. I bought a fertilizer on discount for $10.74. At the checkout the bag of fertilizer goes to 21.49 (original price) The lady did not want to give me the $10 discount on the price of the product until I explained to her the consumer law in relation to incorrect prices. Bad service and knowledge at checkout!
I hope next time you can train your employees better and provide better customer service!!!!

Returns and exchange policies are extremely rigid and to the disadvantage of the customer. In my personal experience it is much simpler at Canac, Home Depot and other hardware stores than at Reno Depot. In short, I don't buy much at Rona and Reno Depot and I will buy even less. I presented a photocopy of the original receipt for a return of three small items that I had purchased 24 hours earlier. We refused to make the return because we insisted that I had to have the original receipt. I had just done the same thing with a photocopy of my invoice at Home Depot and the transaction went smoothly and with a smile. It's up to you
Judge.

Was less than 24h late for a promotion on polymeric sand. They would not honor the promo price. I lost $100. Other stores (Patrick Morin, Home Depot, Costco) generally honor promotions especially if you just missed the promotion by less than 24h. Moving forward I will prioritize shopping elsewhere.

Bought plants advertised at 6.80$ as opposed to 16.98$. At the check out, registered at 12.98$ I advised the clerk of the mistake and went with employee outside to confirme 6.80$ price. They proceeded at said price but I reminded them of the consumer protection act of price accuracy law. (Less then 10$ item is free when falsely priced). Manager was arrogant and showed me a part of the law. I showed her the entire article but she walked away. I returned items and went back out to take pictures of all the 6.80$ special prices signs and they magically evaporated. Shameful behaviour.

I went this Monday, July 22 around 12:45 p.m. to the Reno in Candiac to fill a propane tank. I pay and sleep outside to wait for the employee Marc André who arrives. It was hot in the sun that day. Marc André looks everywhere on the propane tank for the expiration date and cannot find it. And this for 20 min. This is a new “Viking” brand cylinder in orange-colored composite. He says he has never seen this type of cylinder. I told him I bought it in 2018 and that it says “valid 15 years after the date of Manufacture” on the bottle. He calls his colleague a tall lady in her sixties with black hair in a ponytail for reinforcement. She arrives, doesn't even look correctly at the manufacturing date on the bottle, and decides not to fill the bottle for me. After 30 minutes of waiting. I explain everything to him again and every year I come to the same Reno depot to fill the cylinder without problem. And trying to find the manufacturing date herself, she refuses and says It's up to me to find the date! Am I the one who works filling the propane tanks every day at the Reno depot? It's her job to do everything to find the manufacturing date, not mine, and she insists that the expiration period must be 10 years and not 15 years, even though it says 15 years in large letters on the bottle. ! I bought the bottle from Napoléon in Quebec though. She even tells me to go back to Napoleon to see if they can fill it for me.
Finally she says she doesn't want to put her life in danger because of me because I don't have the expiration date of my cylinder even though she made absolutely no effort to find it herself. I get my money back and leave.
At BMR Sainte Catherine, they found the expiration date written in English “manufactured 1116” on the upper orange part of the bottle and filled it for me without arrogance, or waiting, or any problem.
Reno Candiac you should better train your employees in customer service, and in different types of propane tanks, without stigmatizing customers and making them wait then send them home without service, under the pretext that it is up to the customer to find the date expiration. And this woman was really stupid, rude and arrogant. Marc André did his best but without arrogance,
Very, very bad service really, and hats off BMR, Rona you have lost a customer and all my respect.
