It is not just Toyota. I dropped my Hyundai off at the Charlottetown dealership on April 19, 2024, (over 70 days) for the yearly inspection. I requested an oil change. My car was on a safety recall list, which was apparently an easy fix. I noticed a clunk from my front brakes and they determined I needed front brakes as well as 3 wipers blades for approximately $1,500. I was given a taxi chit to my home and back the same day. I have had a couple of conversations along the way indicating a part that had to be ordered. I received a notice that my part was sent June 17. A week later and no car, so I phoned and one car was ahead of me. Another week later and I phoned and go no return call on June 26.
I am a senior woman who relies on her car for food, and medical issues. I have a sister who has been so kind to take me for all my business. Being an independent person, it is hard to ask for help. The bus system is far from ideal and taxis are very expensive.
I don't know what more to say!! It just does not seem possible that this can happen. I have had about 5 different hyundai cars in my life starting with the pony and have never had an issue like this that I find ridiculous! My last message asked them to tell me the truth as to what is their issue and how can this happen. With all the mental issues occurring these days, this did not help me. Thanks for listening!!

Terrible Experience at Experience Hyundai Dealership
I had an appointment on June 13th at 1:30 PM for my Hyundai Tucson at the Experience Hyundai dealership to fix the AC, a door issue, and some noise underneath the car. To my utter frustration, they didn’t fix anything that day.
I was told I could pick up my car the next day at 4 PM. When I did, absolutely nothing had been repaired. It took them two days just to figure out what was wrong with my car, and they still didn’t fix a single thing.
The representative, assured me she would call First Canadian Insurance to check which services were covered under my plan. By Monday, I hadn't heard anything, so I called to follow up. She still hadn’t contacted them. I called again on Tuesday and received the same response. By Thursday, I was hearing the same empty promise: she would call them. Tomorrow marks a full week of this ordeal, and I am still without any answers or solutions.
To make matters worse, it's been incredibly hot outside, and driving around without a working AC is unbearable. This experience has been beyond frustrating. The lack of communication, professionalism, and competence at this dealership is astounding.

It took a lot longer than I expected, but that's only because the sales and finance people went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied and successful in my complex financing needs. Doug, Depen, Luc, Chris, Matt and Blake jumped through *flaming* hoops for me and I cannot thank everyone enough. Honorable mention to the perky and personable plant-lady, Jessie for tying it all together with the paperwork. I am so happy with my Kona!! Her name is Gina, by the way. Next time I need a car, Experience Hyundai will absolutely be my first stop!

Amazing service right from the minute I walked in the door. I was greeted by Doug, who is friendly, and who didn't push me to look at anything other than the van I went to look at. After deciding on the van I was then sent to talk to Moe, who went over the financing options and started things rolling (as the usual guy was away on training). When Depen returned he picked right up were Moe left off without missing a beat. After a few snags (my issues not Hyundia's), I found my way to the kind, understanding Monica. Monica went above and beyond to get me financed for the van I wanted and never once made me feel like I was wasting her time or bothering her. It took a bit of time but today I happily drove my new to me can home and couldn't be happier with the truly exceptional service I received at Hyundia. There staff are all so friendly, kind and helpful. 10/10 would absolutely recommend every one experience Hyundia's commitment to making vehicle buying a positive experience. Once again Thank you to the amazing stayy at Experience Hyundia for everything.

Wow the customer service in this dealership exceeds any customer service I have ever received in any dealership. I litterally wrote a maybe ill take a chance email to the service manager Devin to help me with a oil change that I desperately needed and I actually got a response. That is unheard of in Ontario and it was a positive response. I am overwhelmed with the professionalism of this dealership.
I am so grateful for the kindness from service advisor Jody and a young Man we spoke with I think Kevin and Tom the parts manager. And the new cars sales person im sorry I forgot his name also very kind.

I bought a previously owned Hyundai Tucson from Experience Hyundai that broke down on the side of the road due to a malfunction of a part that was recalled. I took the vehicle to the dealership, provided my documentation & record of regular oil changes… and then waited SIX MONTHS (with the car in the shop- undrivable) before Hyundai Canada made a decision on if they were going to cover the cost of the damage and part replacement. During those six months, Experience Hyundai denied my request of a loaner vehicle to use until mine was ready. They also stopped answering my phone calls and would not call me back with any updates or timelines. I had to go into the dealership on several occasions just to have someone speak to me and let me know what was going on. At the 6 month mark of my vehicle being in the service centre, I went to the dealership in tears - begging for an update or a car to borrow until mine was ready. I was finally given a loaner vehicle to use while I waited an additional 3 months for my Tucson. After 9 months of my Tucson being in the service centre I was told that there was an additional part that was malfunctioning (not part of the recall) that could cause my car to break down again “in 3 days, or 3 months or 3 years we’re not really sure”. Hyundai refused to cover the cost to fix this. I asked how long this part had been malfunctioning and was told “there is no way to tell”. I asked if this part had been inspected prior to my purchasing the vehicle - the answer was no. I asked if it was possible the dealership sold me the car with this part already broken? They said it was possible but they cannot confirm as they did not look at this at the time of sale.I will never again purchase a vehicle through Hyundai and I would never recommend Experience Hyundai Charlottetown to anybody. The customer service is abysmal and the vehicles are very unreliable. This was the worst Experience.

Just a shout-out to the fantastic service we've received over the past couple of years from the folks at Charlottetown Experience Hyundai. Jodi in service has been exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. Also, regards to Jamie in service for his continued help, and Alan in sales who got us in our first vehicle. Great customer service in parts, and that’s just the individuals who’ve helped us so far. Thanks, guys, for keeping our family on the road and rolling safely!
