I needed about 2 feet of wire for a small wiring job. You’d think $2 cash would work. Instead, the guy took 5 minutes of legalistic typing to charge $2.10. It felt more like the DMV. (Edit after their reply): This is NOT about the PRICE. It's about the difference between a 30-second transaction handing 2 bucks verses a 5 minute transaction handing him 3 bucks and getting back 90 cents and a receipt over a lousy little piece of wire.

One of the last " mom and pop" hardware stores around and im so glad it's close! They have everything you need and offer a large variety of services. If you need it and can't find it, come to McCormicks.

Definitely in my top places to shop for model railroading. They're as reasonable as they can afford to be about things and are just fun people to chit chat with. I have poked around the hardware side of the store and they got some good stuff there as well. All around great place!

I have been going here for years. Awesome place. You can all kinds of trains. They mostly have o scale items in the store but they can get you almost any scale item if you ask. Plus you can get hardware items related to trains and your house in general. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best train hobby store in the United States! Back in early 2021, I was calling every MTH dealer in the US and Canada to try and find a MTH HO Duluth Mesabi and Iron Range 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone as I missed the pre order window. Most places I called had no idea what I was talking about or pretended to know what it was and it gave me little confidence in finding one. That’s how I came across C.T. McCormick. I called them and spoke with Barb. I explained what I was looking for and how many other places I had already called. Barb right away knew exactly what I was talking about and was incredibly knowledgeable about MTH’s HO line. Something that most other MTH dealers I called didn’t seem to know a lot about. (I know, MTH has mostly been O scale) Barb told me that she had several on pre order and one pre order coming in was not spoken for. After speaking with Barb for a little bit, I knew she knew what she was talking about and wasn’t reading the stock info off a website. So I told Barb I would take it.In the mid spring of 2021, the engine arrived at their store and I was notified by Jeff that day. The engine was shipped out the next day to me in Minnesota. A couple days later, I received the engine and was more than impressed. I put the engine on my layout and fired it up. But it was not to be. The engine made 1.5 laps around the layout running DCS before it made a loud popping sound. It then would not work and the tender where the circuit board is was getting hot. I tried my other MTH engines, and they all ran fine. So the Yellowstone was defective out of the box. Now usually that would not be a problem as MTH would take care of it, but they were in the process of closing their company and moving, and they were not taking warranty items for at least another 4 months when I called MTH.I contacted Jeff and explained my situation. Now most dealers would tell you at this point it was not their problem as it clearly states on the receipt, and I would have to wait until MTH was accepting warranty items again, but that was not the case here. Jeff went out of his way to contact his person at MTH and find me a brand new replacement engine and keep me in the loop of what was happening. It was a lot of emails and phone calls to MTH as every other engine on the planet that was left for sale had a premium markup on it or had already been bought as it was a pre order item only. (And apparently in high demand for its rarity) Plus MTH did not keep any extra stock. I felt like “that customer” but Jeff did not give up and the pieces eventually fell into place. I sent back the defective engine and got a brand new that ran without issue. I could not thank Jeff enough as it was the last opportunity ever to get this Yellowstone with MTH selling off their HO Line and closing their doors for good.I can’t thank Barb, Jeff, and the rest of the staff for their incredible helpfulness and knowledge of all the items they sell. They know their stuff inside and out! Even though I live in MN and they are in PA, they will always be the first to get my business for as long as I am in the hobby! And to top off their amazing customer service, this Christmas I received a Christmas card from them thanking me for their business even after all that! Absolutely amazing customer service! Thank you!
