Great place to buy dumbbells & other gym equipment at a pretty significant discount. It’s about thirty minutes away from my house but the savings is well worth the time to drive here to pick up that new equipment you need for your home gym.

The prices are about 30% off retail because you are the shipper but it's worth a visit.

If you're in the area and interested in weightlifting at all, or want great equipment for less because you don't have to pay for shipping, go to York. The training area is also great if you get the chance.

Quick stop in to see about purchasing several pieces of equipment for a family/home gym. There was no other customer in the retail outlet and the sales rep(?) was behind the counter, on the computer. He did not look up to greet or ask if he could answer any questions. I approached him to get some product specs and information. He was curt, condescending and exhibited behavior that was nothing short of being a terrible sales rep. Purchasing weightlifting/exercise/gym equipment is not nuclear physics like the sales rep seems to think it is. I feel badly for the owner(s) of this place for having this guy in their employ. What a jackass! While York Barbell Retail Outlet prices may be competitive, that halfwit of a sales rep must lose customers on a weekly basis.

Mark, in the weights store couldn't have been nicer and more knowledgeable about everything there and my needs. Got a fantastic new machine, exactly what I wanted!

Terrible equipment. Customer service worse. Bought a 30 lbs kettlebell. Use it less than 10 times when the handle broke off and almost broke my foot. Brought it back and customer service person, Scott, laughed at me and said company policy is no refunds. Stay away from this place.

The sales worker was very dismissive. Instead of greeting me when I walked in, the worker followed me and stared as I looked at a piece of equipment. When I started to inspect it, he says "It's not hooked up, so just leave it" and walked away. He did not ask if I needed help at all. Very disatisfied with the customer service and because of this, I left and will take my business elsewhere.

Lots of amazing history here. The museum content was incredible. Well worth the trip. And the on-premise store is great too with friendly, knowledgeable sales folks and plenty of inventory at great prices!

I drove from Reading, PA to the warehouse in York, 1 hour south, to avoid the shipping cost on 210 pounds of olympic weights. I was on and off the property within 5 minutes, with my weights loaded in my trailblazer. Can't ask for more than that. It does appear as though the Olympic plates are painted in the warehouse by different employees, however, as some were painted differently than others, but I can touch those up with some white paint myself. No biggie.

York Barbell is the greatest producer of barbells and weights of all time. The shop and the museum are must-visit places for anyone who is passionate about weightlifting or interested in its history. The staff are also excellent, and the prices for the equipment are awesome.
