I’ve been going to Walgreens in Lancaster since 2001. I moved to York in 2019. I get the same BP med from them since I moved yet they do NOT have it in stock EACH & EVERY time that my quarterly refill is due! They will stretch out my notifications for that script over 2 weeks saying it’s not ready, we’re getting it ready, sorry no it’s not ready, 5/90 pills are available if I wish then 2 weeks later it’s finally actually ready for pickup.
Then there’s the drive through that costs a gallon or 2 of gas idling for 30 minutes to serve only 3 maybe 4 cars, especially when it’s hot or cold outside and we cannot shut our cars off. The drive thru should be for PICK UP ONLY. Too many cars spend 15-20 minutes only to pull away with no meds because they are clueless how the pharmacy system works and they waste everyone’s time! Direct those people to go inside to the waiting area so the prepared folks can pick up in a few brief minutes. This has been going on since I moved here in 2019 and it only gets worse as it currently takes 30-40 minutes to serve 4 cars! Walgreens you show zero effort to address and correct the numerous inefficiencies that is causing negative experiences to both your customers and yourself! I’m looking to change pharmacies!

The pharmacy is absolutely terrible!! My Dr called in 4 prescriptions for me that I needed around 300 in the afternoon. I received an automated call from walgreens about a half hour later saying my prescriptions were not ready because of an insurance issue, that they were working on it and would call back when it was ready. By 7pm I still had not herd from them so I called and was on hold for 45 minutes so I drove to the store and went through the drive through. Waited in line, finally got to the window and the lady said she had to talk to the pharmacist. After 10 minutes she gets back to me to tell me they don't participate with my insurance so the prescriptions were never filled! I was then told if I would like to pay fill price out of pocket they would fill them for me. There was no way I was doing that so I asked how to get my prescriptions transfered to another pharmacy and was told that pharmacy would have to call in. By this time it is almost 9 pm. I called Rite Aid who was more than happy to help and try to get my prescription that I needed filled. They called walgreens and also sat on hold for over 45 minutes trying to reach someone to have my prescriptions transferred. At that time both pharmacies were closing. Needless to say Rite Aid has been trying again to reach them this morning for over an hour!!! Someone should have called me to let me know the insurance issue so I could have gotten in touch with my Dr yesterday!!! I would not recommend for anyone to go to this wallgreens especially if it's for something you need!!!

The worst Walgreens ever!! I would put zero stars but it doesn’t give me the option.

The store staff are excellent and, ready to assist, with a smile! The pharmacy staff, though friendly and knowledgeable pharmacist, the CPU systems the company runs for medications, leaves A LOT to the imagination.
-2 stars for the poor computer system the pharma staff have to deal with.

Kindness, let alone good customer service, is something this store "consistently" lags in. Did I mention "consistently "?!

I wouldn't recommend this Walgreens to anyone! Before I went to pick up a prescription, I called to make sure it was ready, I was on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on! I went to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription and was told it would be $900 because they weren't my preferred pharmacy! That's after my insurance! The associate wasn't very pleasant either!

I placed an appointment for today for an employee drug test. I drove over half an hour to this location because it was the closest one that accepts Labcorp for my company. Once I walked inside the lady in the pharmacy asked me what I was in for and I told her I was there for a drug test. She specifically told me “no you aren’t, we are out of containers” and pointed to her hand written sign on the door. I don’t understand why Walgreens allows you to make an appointment for a drug test when they can’t supply it. Walgreens should have called me to inform me that they couldn’t supply the drug test, to save me the trouble of driving this far. And her attitude was uncalled for. I do not recommend getting anything from the pharmacy at this location, the staff was rude.

Was on hold for half an hour. They answered the phone with “i’m putting you on hold” and was on hold for another 10 minutes. Someone answered the phone and hung up immediately afterwards. Completely ridiculous and I hope the person that did that to me gets reprimanded as this is a recurring issue at this pharmacy.

The pharmacy techs are completely dumb...they need more training! The pharmacist was no help! How you go to school for this job and still don't know shit. They couldn't call my insurance to get an override because they where too busy....I called and in 2 seconds was told that the pharmacy could absolutely have called and that they really didn't even need to that they could put in a code to override it so I could get my prescription! The code is 502! The previous staff use to do this all the time, great customer service....now they don't care about customer service. The one tech Teresa, their work id said team member since 2019...what a joke! You've been there this long and still don't know how to do an override. I mean be for real! I didn't even bother to dispute them because they where shaking like if they where afraid to interact with customers. I'll be going to cvs from now on they handle everything so great!!!

This place has the most inefficient and rude pharmacy staff member by the name of "Bessie". I came in the store to buy an over the counter medication. I was met with rude, unprofessional remarks. This employee proceeded to tell me that there was cameras which I agreed that having cameras was a wonderful idea."Bessie',' failed to realize that at approximately 06/1/2023video Time stamp at 1650pm in the evening for management of the store to have when reading this review can go back to the footage particularly at the pharmacy counter. ''Bessie" decided that she was going to withhold the manager name and continue to escalate and use very unprofessional and demeaning language to me and my wife. This is very poor and I will not go back to this store again being a customer for over ten years.
