Everyone we interact with at the school genuinely loves the children like they are their own. We experienced another daycare and had multiple sicknesses and multiple instances of diaper rash there. At Goddard, we have had NO diaper rashes and much less sickness due to their attentiveness and care to detail (such as washing hands, sanitizing toys, etc.). I feel like my daughter has grown incrementally since attending Goddard. Nothing but good things to stay about this school!

We appreciate the care and attention our baby has received. It's been a pleasure seeing what he has learned day by day!

Overall good place to send your children if you want a quality education. In terms of employment, this school does not care about their employees. This is the lowest paying Goddard franchise. Teachers work very hard to meet high quality standards just to get paid dirt cheap. Teachers were promised raises at 3 months, 6 months, and a year of employment, but have only received a raise after being employed over a year and the raise was roughly 15-25 cents. Employer puts you into negative PTO if you use all of yours up and will use your vacation days as sick days. If you leave this job with a negative PTO balance you are required to pay them back every dime of PTO they used for you that turned you into the negatives. Their system is sketchy. If staff is already low, it doesn’t matter if you are brutally sick and contagious, they WILL make you come to work. No overtime is allowed. If you happen to go into overtime they will cut your hours short or make you take a long break to compensate for the overtime hours you worked. It is almost impossible to advance and get better pay here. I would not suggest working here unless you are happy to do more work for less pay.

This school is amazing! My son started really thriving when we starting sending him to the Goddard program. This school in particular I love because the staff is amazingly friendly and warm. It’s like you are part of a family! My son has made some friends that I hope he can grow up with. The school is very clean and well kept! The app is awesome so my ex husband and I can both see his progress and pictures as we work!I couldn’t be happier with this school!!

Goddard School in York has been one of the best parenting decisions we have taken so far! As new parents, we had no experience with a place of learning and care for our toddler. It was difficult to choose a location. We wanted a place that would be safe, educational, and close to home. We found what we were looking for and more with Goddard. Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her succeed in life. We love to hear daily about the things that she is experiencing and learning. And not just that! One of the best features about Goddard is their daily report which is extremely detailed including meals, sleep time, activities, etc. We also get a few pictures of our daughter every single day with an app notification which makes us very happy and lets us know that our daughter is happy and being cared for.

When I was touring daycares, I kept comparing all of them to the goddard school. No other school compared. The teachers are wonderful and really care about the kids. I get pictures throughout the day and notes, and the security is wonderful. I feel safe dropping my child off every day. I recommend this school to all of my friends, hands down, best daycare in York!

The Goddard School is an ideal childcare solution for working parents! We love that Goddard truly is a *school,* not just a daycare facility. Our daughter spends her day in a caring, safe, and learning-filled environment. She adores her teachers and friends. We also love the emails we receive with photos and the detailed daily reports that cover everything from what she learned, to what she ate, to her bathroom business. We are so grateful for all of the staff, and how it's so apparent that they truly cherish the children they care for!

My daughter started at The Goddard School 2 months ago. She's 2 1/2 and has never been to daycare/school before, so I was anxious, but I have been extremely happy with the school, my daughter's teachers, and the education and care she's receiving. I love the photos I receive throughout the day and the recaps I get at the end of the day detailing exactly what my daughter did. I am very happy that the teachers follow a constructive play model that allows children to learn while having fun. My daughter is constantly telling me or showing me something new she's learned at school. I couldn't be happier with my experience at The Goddard School!

Very nice school, staff is very pleasant. We have been attending for about a month now and I am very pleased. My daughter is signing her alphabets and very challenged by the curriculum. The school is newly built, very clean and wonderfully decorated with art work and themes. They are very cutting edge on technology and I love the customized emails showing the progress reports.

As a first time parent, when it was time to choose a daycare for my one year old daughter, I knew I wanted something more than just a babysitter. When researching, I was disappointed by the lack of quality education coupled with active and exploratory play offered at other daycares. Then my husband found Goddard. He stopped by during an open house and was incredibly impressed, telling me, "You've got to see this place!" Needless to say, I was also impressed. Not only are the teachers at Goddard warm, friendly, and inviting, they also have formal training in childhood education. There is a curriculum, lesson plans, active play on a very secure playground, reading, arts and crafts - all geared towards making learning fun and exciting. The real test would be how my daughter would react to everything. Within a week of attending, she was excited to get up and go to school. She would come home with daily reports of how her day went, what she learned, and what activities she participated in. In the three months she has been going to Goddard, there hasn't been a week where she hasn't come home with a new skill: whether it be sign language or a new word. Safe to say, I'm incredibly impressed and happy with our experience with Goddard.

I currently enrolled my 3 year old in their preschool program and I love this school. My son had a hard time adjusting since he has never been in a daycare before. It took him a few weeks to adjust and I don't know if it was harder for him or me:( Leena, the owner/director, would take time to talk to me each day and update me on his progress. His teacher, Ms. Jade, would send me pictures of my son throughout the day. When I would pick him up she (Ms. Jade) would tell me if certain activities were harder for him and which activities he was able to enjoy. After about three weeks, my son finally gets excited to go to school! He tells me he wants to see Ms. Jade and he wants to play with kids:) I know that this school/daycare is on the expensive side but for me it is worth it. I wish I could afford to put my son in full-time instead of part-time:) I understand that each Goddard School is different and it all depends on who runs the school and who the teachers are, but I assure you that the owner/teachers really do care about the children. Of course it is a business, but the owner does not treat you like you are expendable.
