they had 4 tellers behind the counter and still didn’t take me for 15 minutes and I was not even welcomed or acknowledged upon walking in, then i waited another 15 minutes for the baker to come speak to me. I will be closing my account with M&T next week because of this, I’ve never had such poor and slow service at a bank.

Absolutely horrible. They don't know what they're doing. Had 5 cars behind me go before me. They move slower than my 81 year old father who has Alzheimer's. Rude attitude. Won't be coming back to this branch ever.

The workers at this bank are very rude to their customers! My grandmother and mother went in looking for service and a woman at the front desk was short and cold with her words towards them. She said she was new but that is no excuse. This your job, act like you want to keep it! They chose to go to another location due to the horrible service at this one.

Another dumb banking practice that I was a victim of today at this M and T bank branch. Profiling..!!!I live in VA and I happened to be in PA today for a business trip. On my way back home, I decided to stop by at this branch around 2:30pm to pull some cash out of my account. $3500 to be exact (Not $35,000 for point being). First, had a nice conversation with a the lady teller who was helping me. Of course, I handed over my checking card and my driver license as soon as I was up at the counter and told her that I would like to withdraw money. She had me fill and sign a withdraw slip. Of course, during our conversation, she asked me if i recently moved to the area. Which was totally a good question as my VA address shown on my driver license. I explained that I was there for a car auction and it will be around 6pm by the time I get back and I needed the cash early in the morning. That's why I stopped by there at that branch. So...that explanation WAS NOT enough for these super smart, sharp therefore underpaid bank employees, some funny movements started happening. She would take my license and go back to another office, later they would be back but now 3 people (Another lady teller and guy named Jeffrey)keep staring at their computer screen pointing at something at the screen, whispering to each other, there would be a time they would not be even saying anything but only quietly staring at the screen. They than, asked me about person's name whom transferred money to my account. After they verified that, they asked me my full social number. Now, after almost 30 minutes passed by, they were acting in a way that you would think that they are trying to figure out what happened to the $16 Billion that Sam Bankman-Fried lost in one night. They were so convincing, I almost called police ON MYSELF because I felt criminal by trying to pull money out of MY OWN CHECKING ACCOUNT. Here is the most hilarious part of all. After all that questioning, Jeffrey asked me the most important question to verify that if I was the person whom I was pretending to be. He said "which auction did you go to? " I was furious at that point. It was tragicomic...! I asked him why do I have to tell you that to pull money from my account. Isn't that a little over-kill? I continued..."you just have to do your job instead of wondering where I went or what I do in my day" Again these "very smart" banking employees acting like crime investigators, and asking unnecessary stupid questions where, actually, all they have to do the 2-3 step verification and COUNT THE MONEY. I have an account with you. Money came to my account from another of YOUR customer. In-house money transfer. I am not pulling out ALL my money. If I was a fraud, why would I leave money in the account and try to pull only $3500. Pass all that, do your job, Do not play investigator police role. If it was a fraudulent transaction and I used fake id and all that, LET THE "real" POLICE handle the rest. That's why you have 60 cameras everywhere and insurances and all that. Stop asking DUMB questions and wasting customers' valuable time...!!!!!!

I opened two large savings & checking accounts. I had to schedule an appointment online to do so. They called to change the appointment to accommodate someone's schedule which was inconvenient to me and when I got there had the nerve to keep me waiting an additional 35 minutes! When I received my checks two weeks later, the name on the checks was incorrect. I called to have them redone, and the second batch of checks arrived with a different name that was also incorrect! And to add insult to injury, they had the nerve to charge $33.95 for the second batch of checks! Bank at a different branch!

They have a drive up ATM as well as a walk-up option. The ATM can handle cash and check deposits without the need for a deposit slip, so that's convenient. I've had no problems when I've gone in to the tellers either.

I was initially frustrated because they wouldn’t cash a check my father sent me. Turns out they suspected the signature wasn’t actually his. After a quick phone call it was all sorted out but it was great to see them looking out for their customers.

I've never had a good experience calling customer service. They care only about how much of your money they can charge for things that should be free. The latest episode is that I want to cancel a couple automatic withdraws I set up through M&T Bank. They are charging me a $35.00 fee to do so.
