Stuff is overpriced here. The store is large, but I didn’t see many good deals. Also, I felt I was treated poorly here. I am a Muslim woman who covers her face in a veil. When I went to the counter to check out, the cashier didn’t greet me or smile, she looked at me like I was an alien and just stared at her. I tried to be overly friendly but she wasn’t having it. I don’t understand how you can run a business which is open to the public, not just Christian people, and treat your customers so poorly. To judge me based on my appearance yet you have no clue who I am as a person is just sad, frankly. I won’t be returning to this store due to the treatment I received from that young girl and an older woman who was putting clothing away in the back. She also gave me a rude and condescending look, scowling at me and my young daughters. In this day and age you should try to have a bigger heart and respect others, no matter what their differences may be. Also, the mother of Jesus (peace be upon him) dressed in a similar fashion to me. Ironic how some Christians hate us Muslim women and judge us for clothing such as Mary wore!

Items are priced extremely high. I found candles from the dollar store sold there for $2.99. Item after item I found, I looked up on the internet and found lower prices for brand new items. It is a rip off.

Great prices. The store is neat, clean and organized. Staff was friendly. I will shop again and also donate. I am trying to be more responsible and not waste or fill up landfill. This place provides an opportunity to do just that.

Absolutely my favorite thrift shop in the York and Red Lion area, so glad these guys opened up here. Prices are fair unlike a lot of other thrift stores around here, and they always have good sales going. And they stock actual good quality, clean things, not a bunch of stuff with stains, holes, or major wear and tear. No joke, at least 50% if not more of my wardrobe is from the Community Aid and it will continue to stay that way. Not to mention the staff there are some of the nicest people! I've never had even one bad experience here, and I always come home with a big bag of good clothes and cool decorations every time I go here!

I had just bought a new sports jacket down the road for over $100 and I want a couple more, so I decided to check out Community Aid first. I found two good one in my size, listed for $4 each. I didn’t know it at the time that Tuesdays were senior discount day. So I ended up with two great sport jackets for a total of $4. You can’t beat that!!!

On October 26, 2022, I visited Community Aid (York) like I always do when I'm looking for a great deal. So this particular day I was excited to look for porch decorations. After finding everything I needed I approached the proceeded to check out and the next register that was opened I walked up to. The register attendant by the name of Sue told me to go to another register because she was waiting for a customer to come back. Well, the register she pointed out to me had no register attendant there, but I did as Sue suggested. After waiting for someone to check me out at the register Sue suggested I go to, I noticed Sue waited on two more customers after me and she continued to wait on customers as I was standing at this empty register waiting to be checked out. After Sue was finished with her last customer I asked her why did she wait on other customers after she moved me to the side and never checked back to consider if I was taken care of. Sue didn't answer and ignored my question.I love this store, but employing rude register attendants is not the way to go. Please train your cashier attendants to handle customers in a more professional manner.Hope M.

Some price are a bit lofty for resale, but it is for charity. They do run weekly specials and discounts for seniors, front line workers, and educators. Store well organized and clean. Staff are friendly.

I finally got my wife to stop in (she's actually a "thrifter" like me, but doesn't know it YET?) & she was happy with the selection & prices. My wife noted the quality, used items are in FACT "quality, used items" & NOT overpriced like other area competitors (which is what she noted)? She even said she will place her donations there because it seems the resale of donations is not overly-expensive & basically the price of new (as she stated)?Any place that wins her over has a customer for life☝My son & I had been in there several times before to find movies, games, odds&ends...& we always find something cool.?We'll be back for sure.?
