I really appreciate the hard work of the guys that moved me in. It was hot outside and they worked hard throughout the day to make my move go smooth. Thank you to Mike, Mike, George and Vince.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!Our family hired Mooney's for a ~5 mile move and nearly every piece of furniture sustained moderate to significant damage. Almost all of our furniture is destroyed - thousands of dollars in damage - but even more troubling is Steve's nonchalant dismissal of our concerns. Despite seeing the same pictures attached to this review, Steve defended his team's work - calling it "standard" - and offered an insulting $500 to compensate for the damage. Steve will respond to this review with the same out-of-touch canned response about not purchasing additional insurance, as if that gives his company some sort of license to be careless and negligent with other people's property. Moving is stressful - as Steve so patronizingly reminded us in response to the pictures we sent (!!!) - so save yourself the added hassle and headache of incurring thousands of dollars in property damage and use a different service.

I cannot recommend this moving company. Requested a quote for a move and rather than sending someone out, they asked me to complete an online quote request. A Quote issued for 4 people for 6 hours at $200/hr. final cost with be adjusted according to actual hours. I also advised that there were a few pieces of furniture that was 2 doors down, and that was fine as I was told I was paying by the hour anyway. When the crew arrived, they advised that this had to be done as 2 separate moves as it would not fit in the truck. Between a rock and a hard place, I proceeded with the move. The 2nd move was quoted at 5 hours at @200/hr with total of $1000. When the move was finished, it took 2 hours. However, when I received the bill, it was for $825. (4 hours at $200 plus fuel surcharge of $25) When I said they started at 9am and finished at 11am; they said they had a minimum of 4 hours. I then emailed Michael, who provided the quote originally and asked why I was charged for 4 hours when it only took 2. He responded that they had a minimum of 4 hour charge. At this point I was not happy as it it took only 2 hours; and they should have completed it as 1 move at 8 hours or just charged the actual hours of the additional 2 hours workedThe Owner refused to provide a refund of the 2 hours that were not worked and blamed me for not completing the online request accurately. Save yourself the grief and frustration and use another moving company.

Never been so disappointed by a company....Do Yourself a Favor. Hire a company that respects you and your belongings. Skip the toddler drama. At first, we had a good experience booking and confirming the move date. All went well until that actual move date and we had almost everything moved over to make it an easy day for the team. The day started with a call to me at work yell-complaining that they had rung the doorbell twice and no one had answered (that specific doorbell works only on the WiFi so it never rang inside since Internet was already disconnected for the move). Offered them a keypad code over the phone to get inside out of the cold and was chastised by the grump that "he can't just go in and move things around". Of course I understand that...I assured the Unprofessional that I did not expect such a thing and that homeowner was ready for him.... UNprofessional then walked into the house whining about boxes not being properly closed to his liking. Homeowner tried to point out the furniture we mostly cared about them moving, but UNProfessional was laser focused on the boxes not properly closed. He behaved in such a poor manner that he caused homeowner to call him out for treating customers so poorly. The other Mooney employee with a beard tried to calm saying Cmon, Knock it off......The hostile guy walked off the job when homeowner asked if that's how he treats customers. And worse yet, the 4th generation owner Steven DeSteffano hung up on me even after I offered all the mediation possible whilst in tears for such an asinine situation all while hybrid teaching with super young learners during the hardest year ever. It's one thing for your guys (I'm sorry your one guy) to act so atrociously to the customers and it's another for the entire company to ABANDON the job on a moving day--one of the top stressors in life BTW. Not to worry though because one of the local high school sports teams released some amazing guys from practice and our amazing family dropped everything to do the job Mooney's Moving couldn't handle and they did it with respect and care for both for our fam of 7 and our items. Shame on you Mooney for trying to leave us without movers on moving day.

They need to be more careful They crew arrived on time and very accommodating. However they seemed in a rush and did not think some of their actions through. One one our cabinet drawer handle caught the wall and broke. Also, they did not remove the dresser drawers when going up the stairs. Several draws fell out and when I tried to see what was happening was cut on the forehead. They just need better training.

They were on time and friendly. However they were in a hurry and broke the door and cabinet. Plus, they did not remove the drawers on our dresser, so the drawers fell out going up the stirs damaging the walls and hitting my forehead.

They were on time, they were friendly; careful; quick - both in taking things from where I lived and also putting them in my new place. I hignly recommend them

I engaged them to move a variety of goods from a storage unit to my home. The two movers themselves were terrific. Got to storage early, very courteous, did a great job of moving even though the path from the truck to the house got very slippery (from snow on the ground on a cold day). But the person who booked the move never mentioned that I would be charged an hour ($118) for the truck to be driven from their location. WHAT?? None of my employers ever paid me just to get to work. More important, when I called and politely pointed this out, Mike said that I had been told when I absolutely had not. Very unprofessional of him. If I had been told that, I would have checked another company. I will with any future moves.

We just had Mooney's Moving and Storage move us from Doylestown, PA to Williamsburg, VA. We highly recommend them to anyone needing professional movers. Our crew of Mike, Mike, Wayne and Rodney were absolutely amazing. We had a huge and grueling move and they did it efficiently and without any damage. The crew was extremely friendly (always smiling and joking) and over the top helpful. Their rates were very competitive and they went above and beyond helping our family's move to be successful. Thanks again!

FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!! I hired Mooney's for a VERY small move (2 big glass floor lamps, couch, rug and some boxes). When we arrived at the destination, I was told that one of the floor lamps had shattered. I filled out all the claim forms and provided documentation that the lamp would cost $575 to replace PLUS $200 for shipping. Two weeks later I got a check in the mail for $12!!! It's going to cost me $775 to replace what THEY BROKE and they were willing to pay for $12!! Customer service is a joke. When I called Mooney's, they were not willing to budge- they reimburse 60 cents per pound. When I let them know I would be posting reviews with my experience, I was told "they take slander very seriously". Save yourself a headache, and money!!, and find someone more reliable!

Reasonable prices and insurance. Best of all the personnel at this business are top notch! Not to mention their good-natured banter being amusing. Additionally, the original schedule was for three days total, but there was a large winter storm approaching, and instead of letting the storm be an issue, Mooney's sent extra personnel in the morning of the second day to finish loading and an extra crew in afternoon to unload it all to get the job done in two days instead of three. Now that is dedication as well as consideration for personnel and clientele! I highly recommend Mooney's Moving & Storage the are truly 5 star!
