Decided to take my family for a day out in Yardley with every intention to eat here for lunch. The very SECOND I pulled into a parking spot, the owner hounded and harassed me to move my car because he asked me was where I was going and I was honest telling him shopping first. I don’t think he took a second to breathe without threatening to call the cops and tow my car if I didn’t move it immediately. He lost probably a solid $500 ticket in business that day along with a repeat customer for his nasty attitude and assumptions. Had an AMAZING lunch at the Vault instead— so thank you for that!!!! It’s so incredibly crazy to me that a business owner can react the way he did, get away with it on pure emotion and scream and yell at innocent civilians; whom were nonetheless planning to eat at his restaurant!!!! Extremely poor customer service and ownership— and apparently all of Yardley knows it. You are not it sir.

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant on 03/09/24. They had us go upstairs and they were nice to seat us. But that was it. They never came to us for a drink order or nothing. Then the tables to the left and right came in about 10 minutes after us and they went to their tables and got their drink orders and just kept skipping over us.

lived in this area for 20 years and finally tried the Continental Tavern...should have waited another 20 years. food was mediocre, soggy fries, over fried appetizers, and overpriced. The noise level was high. And after all that, the 3% surcharge to use a credit card sealed the deal of never going back. Our server, Carl, did his best.

Rich history while dining.Found this from a content creator reels and bookmarked it to check it out.I was more curious to the history part where there was an underground “tour” and the artifacts they’ve recovered while renovating the space. There was also a 3rd floor for more artifact displays and this was up to the onsite manager’s discretion if they want to showcase the 3rd floor. But we did got a glimpse of the underground “exhibit”The manager didn’t mention her name, that I could’ve personally call her by.Although I did asked her, how long she has been working in this establishment and she said “for 20 years”. ?My sister ordered the blackened salmon with black beans and jasmine rice. The salmon was seasoned well but it was fairly dry.I’ve ordered the flat iron steak with fries and asparagus.Apparently, when I got back to our table after exploring the 2nd floor, I was told that the chef had to replace the one that was out on the table as it looked small and not up to par.Which she came back with another ??????My brother in law had the French onion soup and salad. I didn’t try that out but it looked like it was good as it was already empty when I got back ?We’ve also added cream of mushroom. That was very good and I’d come for another. The ambiance is more of a pub, they did have the bar separated from the main dining roomI would come back again with a guest if they are a history junkieParking: It’s within the plaza. Not ideal for big SUV’s or trucksKid-friendliness: I have my 2 year old with us. They had some crayons and something to draw for him.

Looking for a spot where you can have something to eat and enjoy historical feature in Yardley, PA? There is this restaurant that boast on its historical value. It was an underground railway passage. We went for a tour after our lunch where the hostess showed us where the underground passage was. It was pretty interesting to see the past kept in pristine condition where you're able to peek in to see and touch a little bit of the past. The service was quick, we came in right before a wave of people starting to pour in, before noon. At first they served a small sized steak and the waitress said that we're going to have a second plate because the steak size was smaller than what it was indicated which was 8 oz. So they did well on that. The steak was ordered medium rare and was aged. I can tell it was aged because the texture of the meat was different, it almost melts in the mouth. I decided to ask the waitress if it was air dried for aging but apparently she's not sure so we asked the main hostess and she's not sure how long it was aged. Sometimes it well do well when hostess or waiters/waitresses know how their food was prepared because that adds interest to would be patron. Anyway, I'll go back for the steak alone. It's a bit pricey on the side but it's worth it. The mushroom soup is also pretty good, creamy texture with almost earthy taste. The salmon is just a ho-hum, you can tell if it's fresh based on texture of the salmon meat but this one is little bit on the dry side. Ambience is typical of a pub. Restroom is clean both upstairs and one near the bar. The place is pretty small and can be a little crowded. Just be prepared to look for a parking spot, it can also be really tight especially when you drive a bigger car like SUV or trucks. One more thing, they pass on to customers the cost on merchant fees when using credit cards which is about 2.5%. It's fully disclosed when you walk into the restaurant. Just pay in cash when you want to save up on dollars.
