In the process of cancelling my phone insurance and have been put on ice by the customer service email team, I sat on hold with the phone team for hours, and the simple act of canceling my policy is said to take up to 15 days to process.
Absolute waste of money (as it is extremely expensive) and time.
Wouldn't recommend them as they're not only poor at their own job, they don't care about the customer or the experience.

Unbelievably delayed payments to providers -- some approved payments failed to arrive for 11+ months. Never had such a bad experience w any insurance provider before, would give zero stars if possible.
EDIT: Saw they responded to my review and said they'd reach out... they haven't! How about that :-)

I reported them to our state insurance commissioner for fraudulent practices after they abruptly ended our prescription coverage on our company’s health plan without notice.

Offered this insurance to our employees as an affordable option and quickly realized the monthly premium savings weren’t worth the huge delays in closing claims and the lack of payment for claims. It’s like we didn’t even have insurance for the entire year. Thankfully we have moved on but I’m still dealing with claims they didn’t pay for one of our employees over a year ago. Now they want us to pay for it. Horrible! Run! If you are a small business owner please learn from our mistake and choose a more traditional option.

I too wish I could give a negative star review. My husbands employer hired them to provide us with health insurance. This month is the SIXTH time we did NOT have insurance. They finger point to everyone but them. It’s them. It’s always their fault. Horrible. It’s horrible to not have health insurance when you’re actively paying for it.

This company is the biggest scam. If you try to cancel your policy with them, be prepared to fight for your money back because they will still charge you after the policy has been cancelled. Not to mention when I called to cancel they couldn’t even find my policy in their system. The lady I spoke with on the phone was the nastiest person I’ve ever spoken with. I will be hiring a lawyer and taking further action for my money back.

They have the worst customer service and they only respond to you through email. I award them none of my business and God have mercy on that companies soul.

I wish I could give Loomis a negative star rating, but I can’t. This is 100% a scam—do not get “””insurance””” with this company!! I was promised over the phone (it’s on record!!!) that a surgical procedure would have full coverage, but now, Loomis is refusing to pay for any of the bill. I have called them multiple times to no avail. I have paid thousands of dollars over the past year and have gotten $60–SIXTY DOLLARS—of help with my medical bills. Worst part is, I wasn’t aware that these bills weren’t being paid until LAST MONTH. No matter how desperate you are, don’t go with Loomis—you’re better off having no health insurance at all!!!
Update: Loomis DID call me back but did absolutely nothing for me. They told multiple lies on the record, including telling me that they would be sending relevant paperwork by fax to the doctor’s billing office. That paperwork was never sent. This battle has been going on for over six months, and I intend to see it through. Loom is will be paying this bill even though it is clear that they don’t want to.

I submitted 2 GAP health insurance claims in early May of this year. The claims were issued to be paid on 05/30 but since then, I have not received my checks and no one can tell me why it's not been paid nor can they tell me when it's going to be paid. I don't believe that no one person knows what's going on in the background that's holding up the money that is owed to me. I paid for this service to have a supplemental insurance because doctor bills are expensive and it's nice to know that I can be reimbursed for some of those expenses. It is extremely frustrating when I call to follow up and I am told "I'm sorry but I can't tell you when you will be paid your money nor can I tell you what's holding it up." It's going on 4 months now!!!
The GAP health insurance company that I had through my employer prior to this one was amazing. My claims were paid in less than a month after they were submitted and they were always very transparent with all of the steps. I wish that was still the company that I was with.
My employer has since changed and they are reviewing companies that offer GAP health insurance and I was very clear that this is not the company to use.

By far the WORST insurance I have had so far and it’s only been 6 months. They keep giving my sons the run- around when they go to the dentist/eye doctor. They have had to miss their appointments. They are tossed all over the place and loomis offers no help at all. The loomis employees do not seem to know what they are doing when you call them. Maybe it’s the lack of proper training ?

This insurance had some nice things about it-- we had this coverage for a year and it was more or less fine.
Until I had a colonoscopy done in June of 2023 & as of now, 13 months later, the claim has still not been paid after MUCH back and forth with me investigating what the problems were.
I thought all had been settled & claim was paid back in February. Just got a notification from hospital billing this morning that stated that I owe thousands of dollars. Called billing dept. & was told the insurance company is still refusing to pay the bill. My coverage stated that I am covered for an outpatient hospital or free standing facility service or surgery with pre authorization- limit 2 per year.
Pre authorization was obtained prior to the procedure. Now I am back in the run around with these people trying to settle this claim. I am lucky and we do not usually have medical procedures in my family (so far) I cannot imagine needing medical care for cancer or any other illness and having to deal with this incompetence, poor customer service/communication and horrible lack of accountability. Thankfully we have moved onto better insurance and only had this coverage for a short amount of time.

This company does not send denials to providers, providers have to request your claim back. Also, they deny all claims initially saying "patient is not covered" when they always are. This results in the patient having to contact Loomis, then contacting the provider back to let them know its ok to resubmit the claim. Only then will the claims process and be returned.
Patients having to contact them to tell them to process their claims and providers having to call and ask for claims is unprofessional and causes delay in processing and payments. 0/5 from provider and patient standpoint

I was about to cancel this service until Jamie Ross took over my medical documents. This gal is AMAZING!! Now, I love this company as she took the time to help me and also help me understand stuff. I would like to contact the CEO and let him/her know what this person has done for me.
