11/27/23. I called the Wyomissing Cricket Store to confirm their morning hours which was 10 am today (Monday). I went to the store at app 12 noon, in-which a young lady greeted me, and told me that their computers were down, and suggested to me to go the Muhlenberg Cricket Store which is near Pepboys off of 5th Street. I thought that was extremely odd, and then another lady came from the backroom and told me the exact same thing, and if I could, come back in app 45 minutes when I inquired. I said no problem, because I had other shopping to do on the strip. While I was shopping and after app 45 minutes, I called and no one responded, but - the machine asked to leave a message. I disconnected. I waited app another 15 minutes and called again, and no one responded, and the machine responded once again. I thought maybe they were on their lunch break, but - there were two ladies present, therefore - while one ate, the other should be waiting on customers, and especially the phones, therefore - I went over to the Cricket Store. I thought maybe they closed the store, because of computer issues, but - when I arrived at the storefront, the open sign was still there. No one was in the store when I arrived, and the same young lady I met earlier came out from the backroom and greeted me.. I explained to her that I wanted to upgrade my phone plan from the $30 basic to the $60 plan, because I needed unlimited and hotspot. She asked for my cell number and ID which I gave her my DL. She then asked for my account number, when I apologized and told her that I did not memorize it, but - I also asked why did she need it, when she has my cell number, address and picture ID from my Driver License? She just stared at me confused, and worked her so-called magic. She then once again asked me what I wanted. After my explanation, the young lady had difficulty upgrading, and the other lady that I saw earlier this morning came out and took over. I explained again what I wanted, and then she charged me $17. I said to her I thought it was $30 for the maximum upgrade, and was I getting the unlimited plan, especially hot spot. She seemed quite annoyed, and slowly explained to me as I was a fracking idiot with severe mental issues, that the $17 was the difference that I was charged for the remainder of the month, and starting next month I would be charged the extra $30. Great! I thought maybe it was some type of cyber special, considering today is Cyber Monday, and all sort of specials are going on presently. Excuse me for politely asking!’ I had no idea or clue, and was just asking a simple question, but - her response was restrained and curtly. After everything was done and completed, I wasted app 60 minutes of my time, which should have done taken 5/10 minutes. Ultimately, it was my fault for not agreeing and adhering to the young lady in the first place, and I should have drove straight to the Muhlenberg/Reading Cricket Store instead of wasting my time with an ungrateful employee at the Wyomissing Cricket Store. She should be re-educated about the valuable points of proper Customer Service. For the future, I will not make this same mistake twice. Thank You for reading.
