“They have the freshest, juiciest apples and peaches around! After you buy from here, you won’t want to buy from the supermarket again. Preston has many varieties to pick from, delicious apple cider, apple or peach butter and a great pre-made baking mix to whip up a quick apple or peach crisp. Beyond the delicious produce, the people that work there are very nice. Mrs. Preston is the sweetest lady and was happy to answer the random questions that my kids and I had about the orchard and the fruits . Shop/support local, bring cash to pay and enjoy!”
“Once a year the grounds of the Lebanon Produce Market hosts the Amish Schools Event. It is an auction so well organized, you go from building materials...to flowers and bushes...to antiques...to homemade quilts...to brand new tools...to craft items...horses...incredible foods...and the stuff we all have hanging around our homes. An event like no other. The last Friday and Saturday of June. A fantastic way to spend a day enjoying old-fashioned good times. We look forward to it every year...have not been disappointed yet.”
“Everyone is so friendly! They have a wide variety of plants and produce! The whoppie pies are delicious, and you can get cheap eggs here. I definitely recommend this place!”
“We visited on a Saturday where goats and rabbits were available to pet. The kids loved this. The building only had a few baked goods but the greenhouse had an interesting selection of succulents, herbs, flowers and vegetables. Probably not worth the drive from Harrisburg, but nice for what it was.”
“The very best in-house butcher shop anywhere...I drive here for my chopped meat...steaks...chicken and pork products... everything is fresh and handled right here...as good as a private butcher shop...no warehouse yucky quality meat here...it's the only place we go and the weekly circular sale prices are great”
“Nice selection of produce at generally reasonable prices. Typical Dutchy baked goods - made with bleached flour and lots of sugar. Deli with a nice selection of meat and macaroni salads, as is the custom in these parts.Nice place to stop when in Western Berks.”
